On September 16th, I'll be driving slowly at night through the streets of Liberty with Niko's Infernus, listening to The Journey... Then, I'll be blasting some Deadbeats with Johnny's automatic 9mm, and finally I'll be jumping down Rotterdam Tower with a parachute as Luis.

On September 17th, right after school, I'm heading to my local videogames shop to trade in GTA IV, its Episodes and other games for V's Special Edition.

How are you people going to say farewell to GTA IV?

How could you just trade in GTA 4? I'm still playing it no matter what. It's still a great game.

Having played the crap out of it for three years now, there's no reason for me to keep it... I am bored of it.

No way I'm saying goodbye.. I'm not going to pretend that I'll play it the first months, but it's a truly great game.

But if you insist: my way of 'changing era' is by completing both safefiles (with either Roman or Kate alive) for 100%.

I'm not saying goodbye. But I'm planning on doing this. I am playing through all main 3d gta games. GTA III is done and now I'm slowly on Vice City. My plan is to finish TBOGT on the 16th and then the next time I come back to my console it'll be with GTA V.

I will almost guarantee you'll crave to play it again someday and wish you never got rid of it. I still have games I haven't played in about 2 years, but if I traded them in I know there'll be a point where I'll say "f*ck I wish I never got rid of <insert game>" like so many over the years.

It's up to you I guess, but I do think you'll regret it in time.

I'll NEVER say goodbye to GTA IV or EFLC. They're both amazing games. I'm going to buy GTA V, but that doesn't mean that GTA IV will be put up on the shelf. It's sort of like how I still play GTA III to this day.

I played San Andreas after GTA IV came out. Guess what that means.

Yep, i'll still pop in GTA IV every now and then once V releases in September.

I live in NY so it's nice to experience that NYC atmosphere Rockstar created.

I'm not saying goodbye to GTA IV. I'll just say see you later. Before I start playing GTA V i will hang out with a friend. Most likely it will be Brucie. Then I will call Roman up for some good times before I head to the airport.

I will never sell or get rid of IV.

I will not trade the game. I will say goodbye to it though.
I will do similar thing like you but I will drive a Hexer around the Clubhouse and go blast some Deadbeats and then do Drug Wars in TBoGT and then jump with parachute & land in middle of Star Junction. After that i'm going to sleep to wake up for school the next day (possibly) and pick up my CE after it.

Once I get V I'm going to stomp IV's disk in half. After that I'll throw it in the storm drain near my house.

This will be me. GTA V WILL SURPASS IV IN EVERY POSSIBLE WAY.

icon14.gif This.

GTA IV Multiplayer is hella fun, I bet GTA V will be better but I'll never give up on IV! biggrin.gif
But I will even keep playing Singleplayer.

I mean, did people say goodbye to GTA III after GTA IV was released? Hell no.
It won't happen with GTA IV (or EfLC) neither.

I never trade in my games, especially GTA.

I'll be playing it the whole final 2 weeks on my way to 100 percenting it, I'll play it again one day in the future, possibly during the next summer

GTA IV's not going anywhere for me. However, on the evening of September 16th, my crew members and I are taking a nice long cruise from the furthest point west on the map to the airport to make our way to Los Santos. 'See you on the other side', we'll say to each other. biggrin.gif

Cruise to sunset while playing New York Groove. Probably also some kind of ceremony at airport, but haven't decided yet. Doing this in SP of course. I am not trading game and will still play it because IV is something that you simply can't forget.

I started to complete the entire GTA saga for months by chronological order: GTA Vice City Stories, GTA Vice City, GTA San Andreas, GTA Liberty City Stories, GTA III, GTA IV and its episodes. The latter'll play their final missions one day before GTA V output, and perhaps with Niko fire me crossing the bridge from Broker with background song The Journey ...excuse my bad English xD

I'm not gonna get rid of my copy of IV, but I will play through it along with the Episodes one last time before V's release, it's been a while since I've even gone through the story mode. And before that, I'll even do Vice City and San Andreas again.

Why the f*ck would you get rid of it just for a few superfluous special edition crap? You'll regret getting rid of it once you get an urge to play in 2 years.

I think I'll play all 3 stories one last time, and ill go to the top of the empire state building and look at the city as i play "this is it" by micheal jackson. For Luis i will play "Freefalling" as i jump off, and land safely and proceed to my house. Then i shall rest and turn off my game, knowing i won't wake up for a long time smile.gif Micheal, Franklin, and Trevor here i come! biggrin.gif
