If it would ever be made,I would want it to be a prequel set in the late 1980s.I would love to see the time that the characters were talking about, when Grove Street Families were the most powerful gang in LS,how did CJ´s younger brother get killed and what made him decide to move to LC.In this game the protagonist could be some other GSF member close to CJ,maybe Big Bear(the guy that B-Dup had turned into a junkie).

If they made a sequel though, the pressure on rockstar would be insane! Sanadreas is still a fan favourite and if they messed up as in people didn't like the outcomes for the characters, or the setting wasn't up to scratch or anything like that the backlash would be pretty damn big, it would be a hug risk for them to take.

Of course backlash would still be possible with a prequel, though not to the same extent because people know how the overall story ends already so if there was any dislike for how characters were in the past, the fans would be more forgiving.

Of course both a prequel and sequel are highly unlikely and probably something we'll never get to see sadly.

Nawh, f*ck new Mechanisms. They could make a game with the same settings as GTA San Andreas, maybe a few updates like new terrain or new HUD colors, not a new HUD, it would pretty much be like LCS. Anywho, if the story makes the fan mad, then BOO HOO, Cry to your mommy, that's not the only game with the same faith. I had countless situations like that related to pornography, then this isn't the place for that kind of talking.

So it wouldn't piss you off if they made a horrible story decision for CJ, it would change the way you look at the characters forever. If they made CJ some kind of rug addicted pussy

Spoiler
your telling me that wouldn't phase you one bit?

Sequel, I want to know what happened to Carl and the others after the story.. And if we ever get a san andreas stories I hope Tommy reunites with Rosenberg inlove.gif

CJ became a multimillionaire and Woozie's casino became a success. We already know what happened to them after the story. The game should instead be a prequel. Besides the fact that we have no idea how Brian died, we also don't know anything about Smoke and Ryder's background. It could show us how Smoke became the drug lord or what Ryder was like before he started smoking that weed. And let's face it. CJ is just too successful for another story, and what exactly would his story be about after the events of San Andreas?

It should definitely be a prequel. A sequel of GTA San Andreas just won't work since CJ did just about everything to get everything. What will his story be about after the game's storyline? What will the concept be? Plus it just wouldn't be fair if all the main characters made another appearance yet Big Smoke, Ryder, and the other Los Santos characters (such as B-Dup, Big Bear, and Emmet) don't. We don't even know anything about their background at all. Maybe Ryder could've been a badass before that weed f*cked up his brain. We don't know anything about his family background. Maybe his parents neglected him or something and maybe he has at least one sibling who is obviously older than him. We never even get to see what Big Bear was like and how intimidating he was before the crack f*cked him up or B-Dup's relationship with the Grove Street Families. We don't know anything about Emmet or his relationship with the Grove Street Families. We never get to see who Tony, Little Devil, or Big Devil were and how they got killed. Most importantly, we never get to know how Brian really died. Also, the introduction only showed everything that happened a day prior to the game's storyline and showed up what happened to Beverly Johnson. It didn't show us Grove Street's history. So a prequel of GTA San Andreas makes much sense since there are so many things we have to know about the Grove Street Families and what precipitated their downfall.

Excellent points. And I do agree that it should be a prequel to San Andreas. All of these people wanting a sequel seem to be more interested in seeing CJ again than thinking about the concept of the sequel itself.

Now those are specific reasons. And like that other guy said, people begging for a sequel just only want to see CJ again without contemplating what the concept of the game would be.

VC happened after VCS.

GTA3 happened after LCS.

So I guess...100% prequel, showing CJ and Brian story BEFORE CJ got to Liberty City. We already have LCS, and SAS should take place where it's title says: San andreas.

By the way, i'm thinking of making a DYOM missionpack of that, i don't really know.

Seeing as they made The Introduction, I highly doubt Rockstar would need to make a prequel. I think they've even stated this themselves.IMO it's impossible to make a sequel because there's actually nothing to make a sequel about in SA, and if Rockstar f*ck up, just imagine the backlash from fans. Furthermore, I don't see Rockstar revisiting the 3D-Universe.

That being said, I would actually like a prequel to SA set in 1990/1991. It  should focus on the crack epidemic in Los Santos, but should take us around the entire state again. Those bikers in the countryside could also feature as a gang, and have some sort of explanation on why they aren't active as a gang in SA. I would really like for the protagonist to be T-Bone Mendez. That's right, T-Bone. We didn't really get to know much about him, and Rockstar could explore his rivalry with Cesar, how he became the leader of the San Fierro Rifa (There could be a civil war situation like in TLAD) and how the Loco Syndicate was formed.

Seriously, seeing as how big SA is, it's genuinely impossible for a sequel. What's gonna be CJ's story after GTA SA? How would it cohere to the storyline of its predecessor? We don't know much about the GSF since the majority of the story took place in different cities. We never get to see more of Big Bear, B-Dup, Emmet, or the other members of Grove. We never get to see who LB is and what his motives are. We never get to know how Brian died or how Tony, Lil Devil, or Big Devil died or what their motive were when they were with Grove. Most importantly, we nevet get to know more about the Ballas and who their leader is. So a prequel of SA makes much more sense.

Probably a good sequel would be an story of how the Ballas take over GS and sh*t, and of course, you wouldn't control CJ. He might be moved away to LC or VC. A prequel would be better. A little bit before Brian's dead until a little time before the events of The Introduction.

This is just my opinion.

It should be a prequel like how stories are. I would propose you play as either officer tenpenny, big smoke or a balla.in the stories who ever would be the protag should be responsible for the accidental death of Brian. Also the introduction of drug dealing will be introduced by the character to show how LS got how it was in the original game. The violent balla-fam beef would also begin in this game. I say tenpenny , big smoke or a balla because they all have the ability to provoke these events. They can also travel throughout the state to establish their dominance in the drug market. However playing as big smoke and Tenpenny are highly unlikely just like this san andreas stories :( alsobCJ would make a cameo in the mission where brian is killed as he was there
