A good one is about £6k here regardless of age. Or they certainly were about 4 months ago when I was looking to buy one. All the £5k cars I saw were utter dogs or had intergalactic mileage and niggling problems like dead OBCs or borderline-bald budget tyres.

High-powered cars are not in demand here, that's why they go for peanuts.

 

There was an E60 M5 recently that went for 13k. Perfect condition and low mileage. Only out of NCT (MOT), but the new owner said it passed with flying colours the first time.
