Do you think gta V will be released on day 1 as a downloadable game from the PSN store?

I'd rather play it directly from the console without out a disk.

Most popular games are these days, so I would definitely expect it. SONY are preparing for the PS4's ways where every game sold at retail will also be available on the PSN store.

That would be cool for some people, but its alot more special when you buy the game on a store. At least for me...

Also the nearest place that would sell GTA V is one hour away.

I wonder if the PS4 download (if released) will be free if you already paid for the PS3 digital version.

My PS3 has a broken disc drive. So I really hope it will be available on day 1. It would be really great if R* offered people to buy the map and manual separately on their website.

Why would you want GTA V as a digital download? I want to see that jewel case proudly sitting on my shelf, completing my PS3 game collection. Also, you can't take the game over to your friend's house without taking your whole damn PS3 if its digital.

So what? In the east coast they put it up around 3am or so by the time I wake up early in the morning it'll be done instead of having to wait 10 extra hours or something.

I'm sure it will be.

I'm old school though, I like buying games that physically exist.

If there is a day 1 digital release I suppose it will just be the standerd version without all of the cool collector's edition DLC. sad.gif

Assassin's Creed III had different versions to buy, and the digital Batman: Arkham City came with the Catwoman DLC... so it's possible GTA V could have the digital stuff.

It might be available as download. It might not. I personally wouldn't buy it as a download.

1) prices are sometimes higher for big titles.
2) my internet sucks (20mb/2mb).
3) i prefer physical media with case/maps/booklets.

When I download games I usually do it before I go to bed, and when I wake up its all done.

If we all had google fiber it would take about 2 minutes or less to download the entire game from the ps store.

I just recently got BT fibre, which is about 30-40 down, so I'm seriously considering buying it digitally. However, as mentioned prices are nearly always higher on the PSN store - and I picked up GTA IV for 25 on release day in Morrisons (supermarket) in 08, so might go back there again!
