Exactly. I do believe that programming objects to move away from the character (or mouse cursor) is a very, very basic thing in game design.
It's funny, but it also makes sense for them to stress it so much. CoD has been cattering to the mainstream audience since MW2. Black ops was different in that sense, but continuing on from MW3 all the way to BOII everything was dumbed down to the ground to make VERY easy to play games. It's a shame that they're taking the same route, but that's what started making them all that money ever since CoD became the #1 game on the market. Really a lot of people don't understand the impact MW2 had (but not just on CoD).
So while it does sound silly to put so much emphasis on fish moving out of your way, i assure you you will see a segment of that in the trailer with added pretty visual effects, and the people who don't know that the technology has been around for 16 years now, will be shocked. That's their sole goal.
