I'll take anything but 3 protagonists again, I mean it's not the worst idea but then again you'll always come to dislike one the most and have a favorite which you'll pretty much use the most as if he was the only protag imo.

I think two would be more interesting or just one.

And that's the beauty of three protagonists. When you don't like one - you have two other left. If you like two or all three of them - then you're more happy than ever.

When I get a really good idea of what GTA V is and what it's like to play it, I'll have a better idea of what I would want for future games, especially when it comes to the number of protagonists. If the countryside aspect really feels immersive and interesting, I think they could expand upon it even more. Personally, it would be cool to feature the midwest in some way. Put a few big cities in there, maybe Chicago, Detroit, and possibly even a Canadian city like Toronto, and put a ton of land in between them with suburbs and rural towns dotted around the region. Rolling plains and some farmland in southern areas, and hilly, forested areas to the north.

Being that there probably isn't going to be the stereotypical GTA-type criminal activities going on in these cities, story-wise, it might be a bit of a departure from previous games. But there's a lot of ways they could take it. I'm from Chicago myself, and the political scene is about as corrupt as it can be, and it has been that way for a long time. A story could be built off of that. Some of the more lonely, rural towns in the midwest definitely have that creepy, shady feeling to them and Rockstar could get creative with that as well.

Otherwise, it wouldn't be bad to just go back to Vice City. However, it would have to be set up as a huge improvement over the first rendition, similar to how it seems like it will be with Los Santos when V comes out.

I think Vice City is a safe bet. It's just one city whereas San Andreas had 3 different cities. It will be a good way to start working with next gen hardware. The map will about the same size as V's, maybe much bigger. Just think about that for a second, a HD remake of Vice City that is bigger than V's map which we know is about the size of SA/RDR and IV.

I think the great thing about the game will be just how realistic it is. I think it will be the most detailed city ever in any game. With V they are doing a city/countryside and ocean but all they'd need to do in VI is Vice City and possibly the ocean.

I don't know if they'll stick with 3 characters but I don't see them going back to just 1. I think they would get away with 2 and they could even take it further by increasing it to 4/5 characters!

It's way too early for these discussions. I feel that our brains simply cannot comprehend what Rockstar will do next. I doubt they even know exactly what they are doing yet. VI is probably just an idea at the moment. I don't expect them to start developing it until at least mid-2014 and even then it will be part time because they will want to put out some other titles.

I would like to return to Liberty City in the future, on this time we should be able to explore the state it's attached to.

But then again, if you don't see the other two you will not think of a better one over the other and use that one and learn more.

But I think two would be fine, three is a little too much imo.

Let's face it: Urban-Only settings, like in 4 are no longer appealing. So, wherever GTA 6 will be set, it should have a large chunk of the map covered in rural areas.

And since V will have desert/mountains/farmlands I expect something else like the swamps of Vice City or some freezing tundra in the Midwest or Canada.

Talking about Canada. I believe that Montreal would be an interesting setting. There'd be time to poke its bilingualism, close to the US, lots of organized crime, close to natural areas.

Just seems to me that they almost have to go back to Vice City eventually, but after making V with such an extensive map, it'd be hard to recapture the variety and scale in Miami. I don't think having Vice City and the surrounding country side would be nearly as interesting as Los Santos. It doesn't matter, it'll be years before we have to worry about it.

Perhaps it could be a mixture. Dubai, Jordan and Egypt. But lol I doubt Rockstar would go to the middle east.

I agree. I would love to see a Much Larger and improved Vice city in this new engine, unlike the cartoony ones before GTA IV

They could pretty much push for near realistic size with Miami (Vice City) too.

Uhh, imagine the collectibles, there's be about 600 if they assigned 200 to each city like in IV.

Ah chinese whispers. Nothing like that was said by him.

Series exec. Leslie Benzies said the ultimate goel is to put all of the maps/cities into one game. But at the turnaround speed they make games in the high def era, to the amount of time for new consoles, it probably will never happen. Because they will once again out-do this gen's games for the PS4 and next Xbox. There's is not enough time in a consoles life for Rockstar to be able to do it really.

No more Liberty City until they decide to do every city in their universe in one game, LC is just boring I liked GTA4 and the remake of it LC was awesome but just boring nothing but tall buildings i like the where GTA 5 is going LS and country sides. I would love to see a remake of Vice City.

But I meant they should also include the State as well. In fact, they were originally going to include the state before being scaled back into just the city.

What are your ideas?

Page 1 has my thoughts. I honestly think it'll be an HD, well-done, next-gen version of Vice City again. Miami has a very diverse culture. You've got the city, small towns, oceanfront/beach areas, the Cuban community (maybe they'd even include part of Cuba in the game), Caribbean islands, swamplands, etc. It can be a very good location to revisit, so my money's on that.

What else could they possibly do?

They could add fully functional 80's arcades, full blown casinos, make all buildings enter-able, purchasable, sell-able and destroy-able. seasonal weather changes. natural disasters, mirrors edge like free running, and tekken like fighting mechanics, leader-boards for almost everything you do, stadiums for several types of sports, leagues, rock concerts, and ticket purchasing for events. building your own custom houses, mining, space exploration. forever deepen customization across the board. ...it's endless.

I wont speculate too much on the features because we still know so little about V. Beyond that however, I think two thing will reign true; it will be a location never done before, and it won't be in the present.

I'll play GTA V 1st then I'll give you my opinion... But there's one thing I would appreciate: A growing up protagonist. I mean, I think the 3 protags option is going to be great but you never know... Having a single protagonist and starting as a youngster doing small criminal activities from high school then getting bigger & bigger in the streets, that would be crazy.

There are two possibilities; either it's set in Vice City, making a very huge city, bigger than V's Los Santos, or the whole state of San Andreas (Los Santos + Las Venturas + San Fierro).

I think that the next GTA should have 2 protagonists.

Think of GTA IV and TLAD. Niko and Johnny both have very different lives but through each of their stories they meet each other and have crossover missions.

Now think of the above as if if was just one game (IV) and both characters were protagonists. I think it would work

I would love a GTA that went back in time again. 1968, two cities across two states, Houston and New Orleans. 2 cities, 2 protagonist, one black male and one white female who end up on a Bonnie and Clyde style tale across the Gulf. What I just described would be enough to top GTA V anyday.

You can outdo 5 if the next GTA allowed us to be the Boss of all Bosses of some type of criminal organization. You would play as the main protagonist but the focus would be on the organization and running it like a fortune 500 company of the underworld. This way even after the storyline is over the game would still play like a Mafia Wars type game. Like a tycoon game.

The Game should take place in a new city and you should be able to take complete control over it and feel the power you possess. For example reintroduce us to Carcer City and let it be like Chicago. Allow us to control other cities at the same time as well. Order hits, take over territory, keep members under control, control the drug trade, mastermind heists, and outwit the FIB to avoid being indicted.

Also there should be more than one GTA in development at a time like before. Multiple games on different platforms so we don't have to wait 5 years again.

Like I've said before, I think it there should be a San Fierro & Northern California based GTA in the 70's. It would focus on the Vietnam War, downfall of Hippie culture, the rise in Biker culture, the oil crisis and would parody all the amazing actions films from the 70's such as Dirty Harry.
