Found the brony.

When I said 'here we go again' I didn't think there would be an exact repeat of what happened in the brony thread dozingoff.gif

Just because I defend someone's stance, doesn't mean I am one of them. I support gay rights. Guess what? I'm not gay. Whoop-de-f*cking-doo.

Seriously, read the previous thread.

Oh wait, you did. This was the lovely tripe that you came up with:

QUOTE
watched it. It was a terrible show that many bronies like due to the allegorical sexual representation of the ponies. Hence, most of the attention, fanfics, or pictures that revolve around the fanaticism of the show is related to sexual encounters.

Klopjob? f*cking klopjob?

However this is my own opinion.

OPINION. Opinion. opinion.

Now, read the responses after that, actually think about it, and understand. Thanks.

Screw it, no discussion actually happens when talking about things like this.

If you don't want me saying anything, and you want to laugh at bronies/furries, have fun. Oh well.

Are you surprised that insecure people want to mock anything and anyone they don't understand or can't relate to?

What's the matter with you, brony? How do I put this elegantly...You like a show intended for children. It is called My Little Pony and is intended for young children. My four year old niece watches it religiously. The only reason bronies enjoy the show is because of the sexual undertone to the show.

And, before I make you look even more like a spoilt girl throwing her rattle of the pram, I'm gonna re-instate what I said before. It's an opinion.

QUOTE

Why are we insecure? Because we don't like a show you do? And how the hell do you relate to a show about a bunch of girly ponies? It's pathetic. I'm sure you're secure yourself, because that's what 'secure' people do. They feel the need to spew their opinion where it isn't needed.

If you like MLP, you're a brony, and you're clearly dealing with some kind of issues. Simple.

Don't like my opinion?

There's even conventions now where bronies show up and discuss masturbatory methods, trade fedoras, and read their brony erotica fanfiction.

Does it make you feel superior to make fun of these people? Does it make it more comforting to know, no matter how sh*t your life gets, you will never be a bad as them? Is this why you're obsessing over how inferior they are to you in this thread? Hm.

Of course not. I don't find pleasure in telling them how it is. It's just funny to see them so blindly defend the show, and somehow they can pass judgment on any who don't find pleasure in their sick fanatical ideals? I don't like the show, so anything I say against it is immediately invalidated because, what? It doesn't look at bronies in a good light.

You'd think with how long the damn internet's been out that people would grasp the simple concept that there's a diversity of opinion.

I feel the same way about bronies that christian conservatives feel about gay people, they're unnatural and we need to keep them away from our children. Sometimes I yearn for the old days where people did these kinds of things in the dark, where people actually had shame, now we have whole f*cking conventions for these people where thousands of weirdos converge on one location and circle jerk about a pony cartoon.

I don't really care if someone is a furry or a brony. I think it's a bit stupid but if that's what they like then i'm not gonna force them to stop. Also, not all bronies or furries behave like most people think. Not all of them wear fedoras/fursuits or masturbate to furry/brony porn.

@Ziggy455 - I respect your opinion but you've got to chill. Just because someone wants to defend other fandom it doesn't make him one of them.

If you are defending a brony, that means you've trying to show a positive side to it. There is none. If I defended gay people, wouldn't it be common sense to agree that I somewhat agree with homosexuality if I'm defending it? If you defend a brony, it's pretty clear that you must, on some scale, enjoy the show yourself.

To be honest I attempted it but I couldn't even get through the opening so I went and watched high school of the dead.

I attempted it myself once. I wanted to see what this brony stuff was about. I barely got through a few minutes. It's just weird, and if grown men like it, then it's obviously because of something else. It's not a funny show. However, like I've said three times now, it's my opinion.

Not my fault people have to get upset and defensive over some kiddy show.

Looks like I've hit a nerve.

And it's not fact, but it's my own opinion. Why are you getting so upset over it? It's weird to me because I've only met bronies that are odd, sexually-involved, and deranged about MLP. Don't make me out to be an instigator. Pull your head out your arse; it's what I believe. Is it going to stop any bronies from indulging? No. Will I lose sleep over your lack of intelligence when it comes to dealing with this kind of sh*t? No. Let it go then.

And if you're defending a brony, I'd say you're more inclined to be for than against.

I tell you what RedDaggerXL; why don't you validate to me why you agree that it's normal for bronies to like MLP. I'm not blindly arguing, I'd like to sincerely be told by a brony why they like the show so much. I'll be waiting.

Hit a nerve? Upset? I don't see how my post got across either of those and you're the one who seems to be getting heated about this. I'm just saying that you keep going on about how it's your opinion so no one can criticize you, but that's not how it works.

But this is the thing. I'm not getting heated up at all, so if I come off like that, I believe it's because you seem to think this is some massive debate. Sure, criticize me. I'm all for criticism. My opinion is that there's some kind of sexual undertone with furries/ponies and many people agree with me on this. It's great you're neutral. Personally, if they want to watch a show and such, I say let them. But my opinion on them as a whole is still the same. It's still weird to me from experience with bronies, but whatever.

For whatever it's worth, I think the MLP fad is a scourge and the ultimate trojan troll. It needs to go away. Nothing to do with the show itself, just the movement it has spawned.

And The automatic assumption that I like MLP just because I took a particular stance on the overarching concept of furries is indicative of how stupid some of you folk are. You attack anyone that doesn't share your hatred for something that shouldn't even be of concern to you anyway.

I'm just curious why those particular individuals are seemingly more obsessed with attacking a certain group of people (furries or MLP fans or whatever), than their targets have for whatever it is they're interested in.

Oh no, I don't think this is a debate. It just seemed like you were starting to throw insults with 'Pull your head out of your arse' (wasn't offended, it just seemed you were getting 'heated').

The main problem I had is that you seemed to return criticism of your opinions on this topic with mockery, which doesn't really do your opinion justice in the eyes of others.

There definitely does seem to be quite a lot of bronies who sexually fantasize about the ponies but I don't hold this against them. Yeah I think it's weird but I'd rather people who are inclined such a way to let off some steam with some fictional ponies. Plus they're enjoying themselves and it doesn't hurt anyone so why not? Not going to antagonize them over it.

It's not like I go out dressed up with a mask, beating bronies to death as they walk through the streets. Throwing an opinion up and the odd playful jest is hardly an antagonistic action towards them. And it's not the fact they receive sexual gratification from the show but it just feels weird because it's intended for children, and to find a sexual theme within it kind of makes me worry that some bronies are future sex offenders. Not all, but some. Notably the ones I know. There's something funky about it all.

The part about antagonizing wasn't really in reference to you, more so other people I've seen who are a lot more extreme in their disapproval of bronies.

I see where you're coming from but I don't really think it holds on its own. Someone who's a future sex offender can easily become that with or without the show, and it could be argued that show may suppress these tendencies (I'm not saying it does though).
Say if someone's a brony with paedophilic leanings, they're not f*cked up because they like the show, they're f*cked up because they're attracted to children. Even so I'd think these people need help more than to be crucified in public, but that's a different topic.

Have you actually ever seen MLP:FIM Ziggy? It's not a straight-forward kids show at all. The reason it's had a broader appeal than just young girls is because the themes and writing have afforded it such.

I'm not really one for TV, so appart from checking it out to see why there was this whole culture around it, I havn't watched it subsequently. But I can understand why it's a thing.

What I don't understand is the obsession that goes beyond fandom, however. But hey, I'm sure there's stuff I'm obsessed with that some people wouldn't get so whatever.

I have indeed watched the show. I mentioned before how I wanted to see what the big fuss was about MLP:FIM and after watching one episode, I think they had a town meeting or something, I just completely felt weird and didn't find the show funny at all. I'm not saying all bronies are weird, obsessive, repressed teenagers but I'm saying from experience that the bronies I'm talking about, go way beyond indulgence of the show.

The bronies I've met take it to the level of crazy. If you like the show, brilliant. If you think it's great, great! I'm sure there's tons of shows out there that we'd disagree on. But when I'm approached by the bronies that take indulgence over in some sick form of masturbation then I'll start to feel a little weirded out. I had a guy who went to a brony meet-up and he refused to go to another one as violence had broken out of a spat between two very damaged people over some characters. It just feels wrong to me when I see the fanfiction, the messed up klopjob illustrations or even the fact they try to wedge it in to most daily activities.

But there's a big line between people who indulge and people who just need a psychiatric analysis.

But in a nutshell; if you like the show, good on you. Just don't take it further than it needs to be as a fanaticism and then expect people to understand.

It's not ok if you're a grown man and you enjoy that show and you publicly display your fandom, there is nothing ok with that. Why aren't more people upset about this group? We should start putting them in camps.
