I personally don't have a problem with 'them', but it horrifies me there's sites with pornography based on these cartoons..

So, what do you think about this?

I don't mind people with different opinons until they begin forcing these opinons on me. That is why I hate religion.

Typically the furries I knew were 90% of the time anti-social and had rather peculiar mental issues.

I'm aware of a brony though and see the same thing; sadistic person with a hatred towards society--that or they're just really odd children who still live at home fantasizing over cartoon ponies. I don't have a problem with either as they always keep to their selves unless it's online. ph34r.gif ph34r.gif

Both of them have atrocious beliefs. Ugh... yiff in hell furfags. They are disgusting and are very ignorant. They get offended easily and most of them say that it is racist to hate on furfags. Their fantasies disgust me that makes my IQ points to drop by 60.

I feel really sorry for them, they probably shouldn't breed.

Pursuing erotica featuring animals is far safer than actually trying to have intercourse with real animals.
One poor fellow allowed an aroused horse to sodomise him - unfortunately, the phallus was too large and ended up crushing his intestines, killing him.

Far better to cater to such fetishists rather than allowing them to bugger marmosets and elk and such.

Bronies are fine, they (well, most of them) don't bother me at all. Furries on the other hand are quite disturbing in my opinion, the ones I interacted with at least.

Everyone has fetishes; just some are more public about them than others. Do the bronies bother me? No. Furries? Ehhh, I guess it's just because you have no idea who's in the suit. Smoking hot babe or 45 year old balding fat guy? You never know until you're locked in a room with them.

Bronies should be classified as 'sub-human beings' because anyone over the age of 10 looking at ponies are not on the same social level as anyone else. Every one of them that I've met has been a complete retard.

I'm techincally a furry, but I'm not into conventions, groups, fursuits or those sh*tty art websites. In other words, I'm not a freak, I just have a somewhat-tabooe fetish.

Rule 34. Basically the internet has screwed anything that has ever existed out of all its innocence.

I fall under one of these categories. Whichever one it is YOU must guess.

Negative. There is no reason to hate on a person because of their love of animated shows. I watch Bob's Burgers religiously. Does that make ME sub-human?

No, but it does indicate a significant lack of taste.

Very sad.

But still, if they're into that sort of thing and they keep it to themselves then I don't really care.

So wait, this whole thing about these guys really existing is ... true? I thought it was just a big practical joke, I mean surely no self respecting adult would stoop so low as to resort to watching My Little Pony (a show created for six year old girls) in their free time.

Please someone, anyone tell me I'm wrong here as I'm not quite sure my brain's capable of handling this information.

You, sir, have never watched an episode of Bob's Burgers while partaking in cannabis.

Who cares if it's a show created for 6 years old girls? They find it entertaining, so they watch it. They are not hurting anyone doing so. Bronies don't bother me in the slightest to be honest.

Very sad.

They're involved with something they love, meeting new people who share their interest whilst you're on a forum for a videogame, on which you have over 6000 posts in less than two years, calling them sad. Mostly just strawmaning here but I've almost made a semi-decent point, no?

I'm not a fan of MLP:FIM personally but I do quite like Adventure Time and I've started watching the original Pokemon series because Pokemon is beast. I also get drunk and play the tabletop RPG Dark Heresy (ala Dungeons and Dragons for those who don't know what a tabletop is) with a few bros every fortnight or so, which is something viewed as sad by probably quite a few people though it's a right laugh.

I guess my point is this (and it isn't aimed at you lzw3); people will love things and enjoy life doing things you'll find strange/different, but that doesn't mean you can look down at them and vilify them for it. We need less sh*tty people telling everyone who likes something 'weird' that they're retarded, an autist or a faggot. I've seen that sh*t happen to quite a few people who've become depressed over the fact they're outcast for their against the norm taste. Not since I've got to college mind, where everyone who isn't a PE student (mostly) is openminded and awesome.

Does it not slightly dent your faith in humanity though? The fact that fully grown people are wasting their time watching a television show that was made for an undeveloped, uneducated mind.

I'm not saying that they shouldn't be allowed to watch it, by all means watch whatever you please but just acknowledge the fact that what you're watching isn't made for you and you could spend your time doing hundreds if not thousands of more productive things, hell even if you don't wish to be productive you can't be so hard pressed for entertainment that you have to resort to watching a cartoon about talking ponies.

I suppose I'm strange in the fact that I'd much rather be making music, reading some H.P. Lovecraft or watching some Top Gear rather then having to sit down and feel my brain melt in devolve into sludge as I'm subjected to the show. Still whether I'm strange or not for thinking that, I'd hope the people that like this show aren't overly obsessive over it as then they'd most likely be in need of some serious psychiatric help.

You see I've spent a large portion of my life around autism and autistic children and teens and if there's one thing I've noticed is that's the high functioning autistic children and teens (in some cases even in teens who have Asperger's Syndrome) love shows like My Little Pony and Thomas The Tank Engine. They seem to be unhealthily obsessed with these characters, so much so that they never cease to mention them and if some of you are that interested in the show I'd say you've got some very autistic traits and tendencies in you.

Not there's anything wrong with being autistic or that there's any real correlation between being autistic and loving the cartoon show, it's just that in my experience this type of thing tends to be quite common in children and teenagers with autism, I think it'd be interesting to see how many of the regular adult viewers of My Little Pony are on the autistic spectrum, I would lean towards the majority having certain traits of autism and even few with fully fledged autism or Asperger's Syndrome

What dents my faith in humanity further is the fact that the most popular TV shows in the western world are complete reality TV drivel created for uneducated adult minds. And not even then does it dent my faith much.

There are still brilliant people out there spending their time curing diseases, creating fantastic works of art and discovering the mysteries of the universe, the later being something which I hope to do myself after studying Astrophysics/Cosmology for years at university. But some people just like and do things that are completely useless to humanity, things that we couldn't fathom being entertaining at all. It's just how things are and can't really be helped. Not everyone was born for greatness.

I do agree that I'd rather do much more interesting things such as studying astronomy, reading a graphic novel or watching some Game of Thrones than watching MLP (which I find quite sh*t), but it does apparently have themes, characters and jokes that go over the expected target demographic's heads and appeal to teenage/adult males. Though I do see your point about autism, for I've known a couple of autistic people who were completely obsessed with Sonic (which is apparently a stereotype).

I don't really go to that part of the Internet, I've never really been fussed with memes and all that "umadbro" and 'trollface' kind of stuff (even saying that made me cringe a bit). So when I see stuff like this, there's the Northerner inside my head going "No pal, this is very weird, click off and never go back" but then there's the more open minded side of me which I gained from mostly GTAForums saying well it's their life and they can do whatever and it doesn't affect you so why bother even forming a negative opinion. Although I won't open my mind to the fetish part of it, that sh*t is plain weird, they're cracking one off to a kids show and making sexual drawings of it, it's plain odd!

Sorry this was a poorly thought out post, I'm half asleep.
