The question should be, how will you say goodbye to ANY gta? San Andreas being the main one because it's just so much fun. Racked up lots of hours playing that and not just missions, memorable times just riding a Freeway on country roads listening to 'Free Bird' I think the very first time I heard that song in the game brought a tear to my eye cause it reminded me of leaving home to start my own life in this crazy world. Moments like that that remind us of who we are

I won't say goodbye to IV. I will play both IV and V from time to time comparing different features, physics, and graphics. We all know it will be obvious who will win, so lol.

This is pretty much what I'm doing. Might plan each of the 3 episodes the night before.

I understand that there are guys out there who are like 'Il still play IV or SA or whatever' but let's think about this. We have waited so long for gta 5 I think it's going to be so god damn epic and have the nostalga through locations that were from SA and through the soundtrack that will give that LA vibe, that everybody will be playing V and it will be very very hard to go back to playing other gtas. GTA V will have everything we have ever wanted gta to be like so there will be very few people playing older gtas, only the hardcore fans will be doing that. As much as I love SA, I think I won't be playing it for a very very long time after this gta comes out, if at all. We are all going to fall in love with this gta.

I'm gonna drive through Liberty City, spend all my money on strippers and hookers and NOT run over the hookers after they have done the deed.

Sure but this game will be BEYOND what IV is, its an upgrade so in my opinion most people will very rarely go back.

Why drive a corvette when you got a Ferrari in the garage?

In the case of IV to San Andreas I did go back to playing SA after finishing IV because SA is just more fun. IV to me has a dark depressing feel to it but SA is much more colorful and brighter. That's what we are getting with V. Which is why the transition from San Andreas to V is going to be albeit more painful to change over, but the HD graphics will make the transition less painful guaranteed.

I tried going back and maybe I am a graphics whore but it was such a drop off I was not able to...

I won't say goodbye to GTAIV. Just because V is out that doesn't make IV pointless or anything. Yes, that would be so with series like Call of Duty or Battlefield, but not with things like V because it's its own thing.

Just because a new song by an artist you like is released doesn't mean you'll never listen to the old one, does it? smile.gif

Precisely this. icon14.gif

I will pop the disc in one last time, September 16th, and join a free mode, to converse about the upcoming Grand Theft Auto with my fellow gamers. I will get frozen by a modder within 10 seconds of joining the lobby, promptly fling my IV disc across the room in a fit of rage, and remember why I stopped playing it in the first place, and hope Best Buy delivers V on release day.

I'm not going to say goodbye to GTA IV. I'll just play it A LOT less. GTA V isn't going to stop me from playing other games altogether. When it first comes out, it will. But after that I'll be back up on my sh*t. That includes GTA IV.

I will say bye by simply buying and playing GTA V and never touching IV again. I technically already said good bye to IV. After years of playing, it's not nearly as fun as it used to be. I need a new game to throw more fun my way, I know pretty much everything there is to know about IV.

When San Andreas came out. People were still playing GTA 3 and Vice city. I'll be playing GTA IV to compare it to GTA V.

The day before release I am going to block all light coming into my room, then put a CD in my stereo and repeat track one. After that put GTA IV in my PS3 and play it bawling like a little baby while the Dolly Parton version of "I Will Always Love You" plays repeatably. After I get ready to go to the midnight launch I am going to take my GTA IV game out and put it in the case kiss the disc and game and say tell it that it will understand some day and then put it in a drawer that I never use. The next day when I go to my shrink appointment I will tell him that I am having feelings of guilt after ending a five year relationship.

Seriously though I will keep playing IV every now and then. Last fall I got 100% in all three games in the GTA Trilogy. I just bought AC III and when I get done with that one I am going to replay LCS and VCS.

I too will get the complete edition for the PS3, play-through that and then I will move on to GTA V. I will not stop playing GTA IV, but I will take a break from it once GTA V gets here.

It was hardly a goodbye if anything, more like glad that was over worst GTA ever, just 2 months after its release.
