Hello,
Firstly, I'd just like to say I'm a long time fan of the GTA games. It's pretty much the only game I bother playing from time to time. I was playing a demo of the original first GTA before that game was even completed. Since then I've been through every GTA game from GTA London straight through to TBOGT. I appreciate all the fun GTA has brought to the games industry, but let's face it, a game can ALWAYS be better and no matter how good it is there will be flaws. It is my hope that GTA 6 will reduce as many flaws as possible and create many more additional good points in the process.

Assuming GTA 6 will be made for an even more powerful computer system, my wish list for GTA 6 is as follows...

1. Less cops and lower reaction/observation from cops. I don't want to obtain a wanted star for pushing a pedestrian out of my way in a remote beach area in the middle of nowhere with no witnesses, or for lighting a fire in the ruins of an isolated derelict waste ground. Another major problem with GTA 4 was how cops just spawn everywhere at all times. Whatever direction you're not facing toward, there's a cop or 'cops' spawning behind you or to your blind side. This also gets ridiculously bad to the extreme when actually fighting the cops, eg: You shoot two cops, then just 10 seconds later there are 2 additional cop cars and 4 cops shooting, another 10 seconds later there are 5 or 6 cop cars and a mass of cops shooting you from every direction. Then when you take out their helicopter, 2 more helicopters spawn 20 seconds later. I can understand to keep the action going there needs to be cops - but a realistic amount is plenty. The cops in GTA 4 ruined the game - harassing the player like a swarm of irritating hornets. Less of this please.

2. Better player mobility control. In GTA 4 the character Niko moves very awkwardly, especially when turning. At times he would even glitch when you try to make him go one way, he would do an automated stop and 180 turn and start running the other way - and when this happens the player has no control of the character. This is especially annoying when trying to escape or fight cops etc. But even in general the controls could be improved a lot. In GTA 4 Niko could only grab and pull himself up on to certain things, like a fence or ledge within reach. Often this function was useless since most times even if he can grab the ledge he can't pull himself up. It would be better if the player had more advanced climbing capabilities, eg: Could climb trees, Could run up impossible walls jackie chan style, could climb up and over any chicken wire style fence and could make his way on to the roof of any vehicle from any side or back without relying on starting from the low front bonnet. What would be really great for GTA 6 would be to be able to climb the sides of buildings, houses and even skyscrapers.

3. Better accuracy for automatic firing of guns. In GTA 4, only the first round of every burst in dead centre on target, the following rounds never hit where you're aiming at. For example, I start shooting the machine gun and pull my aiming cross hairs over the target around his head, the first dead centre shot may hit his shoulder but the target is still standing and likely shooting at me, as for the rest of the burst of bullets, some just breezed past his head even though my cross hairs at this point where dead centre between his eyes, some of the other bullets hit his arm, other shoulder and annoyingly he's still fighting fit and shooting back. The problem is worsened by the fact that only a head shot will stop your enemies. It wouldn't be so bad if a body shot took care of business too, which brings me to my next wish.

4. More realism with injuries sustained. Not just for the people you damage, but for the players character too. In GTA 4, you can shoot a man in both knee caps and watch him get up and limp away. Also in GTA 4 I have blasted people in the face with the 12 gauge shotgun from point blank range and after momentarily being dropped to the ground they get up and limp away. This is worse if its an enemy like a cop or gang member as not only do they get up and recover, but then they contiinue to shoot you. This is the real problem with heads not exploding or being 'blown off', and limbs remaining intact no matter how many blasts of the 12 gauge you give them. The fact is, unless you're dealing with Zombies, a head shot is not the only way to kill people. So, why do they give this zombie resilience to the people in GTA 4? In games like The Punisher (PS2) and Shellshock (PS3) heads and limbs can be blown off/apart killing in a variety of ways. I hope GTA 6 lifts these boring and repetitive limitations on the realism. I would like to see grenades that blow off peoples legs/arms, shotguns/sniper rifles and heavy duty assault rifles that blow heads clean off/apart, and after slicing or stabbing with a knife of shank/shiv etc - juicy stab wound detail, flaps of skin and blood gushing out in jets and spurts, and real solid bullet holes in the head and body from lower calibre firearms. Also your character you play as should be able to take these kind of damages too, like you lose an arm but can still fight on or if you choose to cheat and up your health - you're arm is replaced and you're all good. Obviously your character should be tougher and more resilient that the games citizens and enemies, but limping around or playing on after being burned black could be more fun and exciting.

5. Better realism with fighting and more vicious methods of attacking. The way Niko would fight really disappointed me. If he's going to act like he knows an art - have him do Krav Maga style moves - not stupid spinning kicks. Who does a spinning kick in a street fight?! Seriously! Also, more brutal moves. It would be nice to be able to gauge someones eyes out or stick your thumbs straight in to their head. Biting would also come in handy, take a lump out of someones cheek or ear or nose etc. It would be awesome if you could pull the head back and bite out someones adams apple. I liked how in San Andreas you could do stealth kills: Slicing throats from ear to ear from behind. This was a really cool feature and I was gutted when I realised this was missing from GTA 4. Rockstar should bring this back. It would also be great if you could execute your intended target by beheading them and if you could then carry the head around and use it as a weapon - the way you could pick up and throw bricks in GTA 4. Also, you should have two different styles of attack when fighting: Standing and on the ground. I think this was in San Andreas, this needs brought back too. In GTA 4 Niko stabs down at a grounded opponent in a way that would actually break your wrist - especially if you missed as he often does. He often misses because there's no way to lock on or mount your intended target. In San Andreas you could mount and then really go to town on your target.

6. I was disappointed with the lack of variety of weapons in GTA 4. I know they expanded this a little in TBOGT but not by much. Also I didn't like the sound effects of the guns - just something about them that sounded off or weak. I would like to hear a sound in GTA 6 that makes me really imagine a slug forcefully blasting out from the barrel of my guns. Weapons that are missing that would be a whole lot of fun, are: Flame thrower, Minigun, M60 (might have been in TBoGT), Silenced Automatic Shotgun, a powerful handgun with lazer sighting, or simply the ability to attach a lazer sight to any of your guns.
Screw drivers, ice picks, sharpened toothbrush shivs and bedspring shanks, whiskey bottles, half bricks and improvised weapons found on the street would be great - such as a spade, or a tin trash can, a brush pole, a rolled up news paper, a telephone etc. This would also add humour to the violence which would add to the entertainment. Other weapons could include: Chainsaw, Fiber wire/ Piano wire, Flick knife, Cross bow, Telescopic baton, Throwing knifes, Machete, Wooden baseball bat (aswell as the aluminium), Needle/Syringe to inject poisons or an air bubble to the brain, a variety of blades and knifes and cleavers, mini gorilla bar, crow bar, wrench, screw driver, glass shard, fire extinguisher and a captive bolt pistol/oxygen tank would be an excellent addition.

7. To be able to create your own character from scratch. By that I mean to chose a face template and adjust all the features, hair, eyes, nose, mouth, jaw etc - just as in the Smackdown VS Raw wrestling games. This way you could make yourself in the game or make a cult character from a film etc. The story could already be constructed, although I personally prefer a silent protagonist and a nice simple story. This would also allow you to save more unique slot profiles, eg: Save one you could be yourself, Save two you could be the Terminator etc. Personally, I'd like to create Michael Myers (Halloween), Anton Chigurh (No Country for Old Men), Scorpio (Dirty Harry), Henry (Portrait of a serial killer), Richard Kuklinski (The Iceman), The Joker (The Dark Knight), Leather-face (Texas Chainsaw Massacre), Arnold (Terminator), Max Cady (Cape Fear), Hannibal Lecter (The Silence of the Lambs), Tony Montana (Scarface). Another thing that would make this even more of an awesome feature, would be if you could create a selection of various outfits/clothes for each. This can already be done on the Playstation 3 with Smackdown VS Raw - saving alternate attires for each of your created wrestlers, with each attire customised in type, colour, lengths etc.

8. This wish kind of relates to wish 2 and wish 5, Better overall control over things and especially over people and enemies. For example: In the game Hitman Absolution, and in The Punisher, you can grab someone and make them a human shield, and in the process can manouver them around, also in Hitman Absolution you can dump and hide bodies (although I don't like the automated video sequences) but in GTA 6 it would be good to just carry bodies and plant them where ever you please - just like in Sniper Elite V2 pick up and dump body. Also, aside from getting a good grip of control on your intended targets, it would also be good to interact with the environment some more, such as to gain access to more houses and buildings, climb inside and up more structures like air vents, jump/dive in to and swim under water etc. More additional cheats could provide even more control yet, eg; super human strength to lift or topple cars etc (like the bomb punch/push cheat in TBOGT) the ability to fly like Superman and Swing like Spiderman and to jump like The Hulk would be good too.

9. To be able to play songs from your Playstation play lists during game play, so that your own music is what you can hear in the back ground. This way you could play the relative music to what ever character you created. John Carpenters Halloween theme to Michael Myers etc.

10. I know this topic or criticism has been made by many people many times over. But it is probably worth mentioning once more. The missions in GTA 4 all seemed the same, very repetitive. I found the majority of mission a tedious chore - just something I had to do in order to complete the game. There really should be some variety, perhaps even a way to create your own missions. It would be a cool idea to be able to, for example, create a crew/gang and rob banks like John Dillinger as a means to make money, as opposed to just doing as you're told by various characters you don't like or even respect. Or choose to sell drugs and do drug deals like in Scarface. Or simply sell cars like in GTA 4 to Stevies garage. But in GTA 4 there was nothing to buy with your money. I ended up with over 4 million dollars and nothing to spend it on. The game Scarface for PS2 could lend a few pointers here. You could buy things for your mansion, bling, furniture etc. Example, in GTA 4 you should have been able to buy the strip club, buy a few more properties and car studios etc. I would like it best if in GTA 6 you could buy people, recruit gang members and go to war with the cops or your enemies with a maximum of maybe 10 gang members. And instead of all those silly and annoying time wasting dates and social calls with friends/contacts, you should be able to just approach random women on the street, and interact and win them over buy impressing them with your money. You could also use money to buy off the police and have them in your pocket. What bigger power could you achieve in a GTA game than to own the police, walk up and shoot someone in a busy restaurant and nobody calls the cops because they all know and fear you. That would be the greatest achievement in a GTA game - absolute power. The only thing greater than that would be to then buy the army and control them like a dictator and order them to carry out attacks on enemies or indiscriminately start slaughtering mass amounts of people. A great and fun way to spend your money would be in a Casino with all various ways and means of gambling. The best part would be, even if you lose, you just rob the Casino wearing a mask and then have your money back. One more thing would be to take photos with your phone that you could actually view again, instead of just pretending to In GTA 4.

Don't you think you're a bit too early with this? Post it ~5 years later and it'll be ok.

I would like it to be set in Vice City, with everglades and aligators, also a very big map with countryside, maybe a parody of Orlando and Disney World, planes and a lot of vehicles.
EDIT: Stop being so mean to this guy, he made a really good effort, the least thing the moderators can do is keeping this topic open, because I don't see nothing rong about discussing what we want in Grand Theft Auto VI

OT: Well, since I'm posting, all I have to say is that I hope we get 3 protagonists in GTA 6 as well. I haven't played GTA V yet, so I don't even know how great the feature is, but I can tell I'm going to like it. I just hope R* stays on this path.

I appreciate GTA5 isn't even out yet, and I will give it a go. I'd like to think it would include at least half the things from my 10 wish list, but judging from the evolution of GTA from San Andreas to GTA 4 - what I noticed was a lot of things were 'missing', not 'added'. So, you'll forgive me for having such low expectations for GTA 5. I could be wrong though and I hope so. Time will tell. The reasons I'm drawing attention to GTA 6 is because, for one, we know it will happen eventually, secondly it's too late to make any further suggestions or wishes for GTA 5 - as I'm sure they've already pretty much finished it, so any 'wish lists' regarding GTA 5 is merely wishful thinking, more of a 'hope list'. Thirdly, the sooner we start a wish list for GTA 6 the better I think, because then Rockstar might just see it in time before making the premise and foundation of the next game. I imagine in the games industry that's how it works, when one game is almost due for release, they're already collecting ideas and concepts for the next one lined up to follow. Anyway, thanks for the positive responses. Much appreciated. Fire it up! smile.gif

Seems like a lot of people are overreacting to this! Yeah so V isn't out yet, OP has put a lot of effort in to creating this topic. It shouldn't be in the V section but still, some of you are being pretty harsh. If you aren't interested in what he has to say, don't reply. Its pretty simple.

Thanks Lyberty2K7, I think the people attacking me here are the ones who need a hobby lol
I would have posted this in a GTA 6 section but unfortunately there isn't one.
To the poster who said I need a hobby...yeah, this is what happens sometimes when I miss workouts haha
But seriously, I'd be interested to know what people really think of my wish list. I'm amazed at how many people are too lazy to read, I mean why be part of a forum if you're unwilling to read anything but your own petty insults and cliche attacks. I don't know, maybe some people are just afraid to use their brains.
I suppose when I wrote this I was reaching out to people who have an equal amount of time on their hands and a willingness to respond to my ideas and share their own perspective and opinions.
The people here remind me of Marven in Pulp Fiction before he got shot in the face...
Marvin: "Man, I don't even have an opinion."
Vincent: "Well you gotta have an opinion...I mean do you think that 'God' came down from heaven and *BANG*
Jules: "Sh*t, damn, man, what the f***s happening?!"
Vincent: "Oh, man, I shot Marvin in the face." smile.gif

(1) They need to make a protagonist holding a gun on his LEFT side.

(2) They need to make a protagonist who kicks, and punches first on the LEFT.

(3) It would be nice if they protagonist shoots the gun on the LEFT side.

(4) It would be cool if the protagonist writes on his LEFT side.

All guns/vehicles/cheats/soundtracks from gta1 till SA, gta3 vc sa map combined + extra ( so its even bigger ), more collectibles ( that are usefull ), all vehicles are tune-able, police can hang on back of you car ( what suppose 2 be in SA ), rpg elements from SA ( but no eating ), arcade play feel, 1 character and that is tommy vercetti ( vc ).So basicly all the good things from gta1 till SA but ofcourse with evrything more and better + if you complete game 100% you get throwing ninja stars ( 1 hit kill ). And in storyline you meet all other gta guys ( older gta storyline related persons ). This would be instant buy for me ( include a zombie mode and all i do is play gta6 )

1. It is likely to take place in Vice City, considering they used both San Andreas and Liberty City already in the HD universe of GTA. Although, it'd be interesting if they'd use all three cities at once, not only that, make it diverse such as adding a jungle or a rainforest; small, abandoned islands with shipwreck easter eggs (an idea would be the Wilson ball from Castaway); a desert again; etc.

Pros:

It will be on the next generation gaming consoles so space shouldn't be an issue

It would give us enough to explore for years if large enough, considering it could be the last Grand Theft Auto game in the series it would make it everlasting

Cons:

It would cost the producers a FORTUNE just for the map - although I'm sure enough people would buy it, GTA 5 probably boosted interest in those who haven't been into GTA games before. They should average just above the price it would cost to make the game (GTA 5 DID make 800 million in a day for example, so imagine GTA 6)

It would take a very long time to make the game - but isn't it worth the wait?

2. Choose your character's gender.

Pros:

Female players can bond more with their character instead of having to play as a male

It would stop ignorant people labeling Rockstar as misogynist.

Cons:

People would want to choose the character's race as well, and other things.

The character's personality would be different, and there are some people that would feel uncomfortable by that fact (if it is harder to find a female walkthrough for a certain mission)

3. Have a freemode option for those who do not like to play the missions - and in this freemode option, allow them to disable and able certain things such as police, invincibility, unlimited ammo, realism on/off, without needing a cheat code. Have the story mode be more realistic and challenging although you are free to roam in there as well, it's just the fact that you'd have to unlock certain things but in freemode you already have them.

Pros:

It would get more diverse Sandbox Gamers to play it - some people prefer Saints Row over GTA because it is less realistic. Therefore, Rockstar would be making a lot more money (the more buyers = the more green)

If someone dislikes having things laid out for them, they can simply create their own story and explore military bases and such without having the cops getting them (if they like it that way)

Cons:

No real in-game achievements that you couldn't have in the first place.

If the grand majority of people go to free mode, a whole bunch of money that Rockstar put into creating story mode would be put to waste.

4. Let the character get part-time jobs - an easy way to make money, more missions for the character, more game.

5. More sports - I miss basketball!

6. The map should work similarly Google Maps - the zooming so far in, so far out, etc.  I'd say make it HD and looking like the real thing itself from satellite view and no street view.
