As long as they bring back Player Manager, I'm happy.

I don't understand why they removed that.

More customisation with your squad would be nice too, especially youth squad members.

OH GOD!

You've no idea how much i missed that. I created all my mates and added them to my local (league 2 at the time) team and begun a career with my pro as PM. 13 ruined that with the segregation of online and offline pro. I'd rather deal with the hacked pros than have a new pro every time.

MM is the selling point here. I have no plans to get it unless EA make MM actually good (it NEVER has been).
CC too. I want more freedom in kit creation, but we'll NEVER get this - look at PES, they're so far ahead it's not even funny. my mate created a rainbow kit in PES - red at the top, gradianted to purple socks. I created some wacky designs with their system and i want that in fifa.

I also want GK kits.

But year after year, we get the same rehashed crap, and we all fall for it because it's got messi's new haircut or gangnam style celebration (which by the time this game ships will be outdated).

MM and CC should be FULLY implemented. ANY player can be edited in full at any time (with exception of stats and attributes) and at the end of each season you should have the ability to edit your kits in full. I'm dreaming and no chance in hell EA will ever implement this, but until they think of these things, I do not want to throw money away on what is basically the same sh*t as last time. It's not just the gameplay but features, as i said. Each year should SERIOUSLY built on what was - MM for example. IIRC Fifa 07 on PS2 had a great system with the press - situations would arise and you could react in different ways and that would have impacts on your team. Press asks you about your CB who's partying a lot, and you can say "let him do it" or promise disciplinery action etc. Better player management too - i have unsettled players - you should be able to settle them.
And a full in training mode - activated similar to fifa 04 - on the main MM screen you can go and have a training session - this would hone your skills but also aid player growth - the more you train, the more your players grow.

Jesus, someone PLEASE appoint me as head of EA SPORTS!

Wouldn't it be great if we got the confrence league in fifa 14.

I'd love to be able to start at the very bottom with a team and get them all the way up

Why are they so smug about becoming 'official partners' with one of the most hated teams (full of assholes) in the world?

Barca or Bayern? They are partnered with both for FIFA 14

Barca. What is even the advantage of them being partnered to any teams? Is it just that the player models will be better?...

Now Liverpool, ugh.

Mainly because of marketing reasons. If the supporters of those teams like FIFA, they'll like it even more that it has all the shenanigans for their teams. So yeah, mostly better player models and even more fidelity on the stadium.

It's a good move for Microsoft but I personally couldn't care less. FIFA was really poor last year and the Ultimate Team mode is the most unbalanced, bullsh*t addition to the game I've ever seen.

Lame that they also get the Ultimate Team legends thing. Do you guys think we might see the 'legends' in offline modes much like the 'Classic XI'? I don't really use Ultimate Team.

Or Best, Charlton, and Law
Maradonna
I don't see Zidane
Shearer
Andy Cole (deserves a spot more then teddy Sheringham if I am being honest)
Zico and a sh*t-tonne of other Brazillians (especially from the 1970s)
Ian Rush and Kenny dalglish seem to be missing too

Matt Le Tissier too, he may never have gone to a super big club but in the day he was amazing

This is jsut off the top of my head, but I think this won't be the full list of in-game legends, if it is then colour me outraged

The World XI team in FIFA 12 sucks too, seriously where are Messi and Ronaldo. The only decent player I saw was Robben. And De. Sanctis as goal keeper, really?

Oh and they can't use Maradonna since PES have the license for his name, so goes for a few other players. I hope Oliver Khan is there too in FIFA 15 at least.

This.

I'm glad they finally included Pelé though... after all these years. At least the list improved a bit and we should be glad for that.

The lack of those names is mostly licensing issue. There's so many hoops to jump through, it's retarded.

Game looks pretty good, eh? It's awesome seeing the work I've done in the game, alive and well.

That's great to hear, if I may ask, what part of it did you develop?

And I'm also eager to know if non-Next-Gen users will also get this same quality of "reality" in the match ambience or if it'll just look like FIFA 13?

I've mostly worked on tools for the artists and managed the art pipelines that places the art in game. So mostly behind the scenes stuff. One thing I did do is the banner and flags on the stadium, have a nice script that does all of them.

They'll get the quality boost. We're on a FIFA 14 competition at work, on the Xbox 360, and it looks visually superior to 13. The new crowds work pretty damn well in creating the atmosphere, such a jump in quality from the previous titles.

@Tchuck; Very nice. icon14.gif

Btw, are you working on the Vita version?. Well, to be precise, the question should be; Is there anyone working on the Vita version?

QUOTE
FIFA is coming to the Vita for the third year in a row with FIFA 14 - and it'll essentially be the same game that accompanied the launch of Sony's handheld.

Last year FIFA 13 on the Vita raised eyebrows when it became apparent it was exactly the same game as launch title FIFA Soccer but with new kits and players added. This year the deal's much the same.

"There will be a Vita version, and it'll be the same great gameplay,"
EA Sports' David Rutter told Eurogamer at Gamescom in Cologne. Asked whether that means it's the very same gameplay that appeared on FIFA's debut on the Vita, Rutter confirmed: "It's the same great gameplay and new kits." ?!

FIFA 14 on the Vita is developed by an EA studio in Romania that's separate from the main team in Vancouver, although they do now help with versions of FIFA 14 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Whether the reskinning of a two year old game will inspire EA to lower the premium price FIFA's had on the Vita in recent years remains to be seen. "I have nothing to do with the prices, but I'll be clear," said Rutter. "It's the same great gameplay. And obviously with any new kits."

Shameful.

There are people working on the Vita version, yes. It isn't as big a priority as the other ones are though, for obvious reasons. What David Rutter said is entirely accurate.

Yup, there's an Android version in the works. I've never played them on mobile though, so I can't really comment on the quality. I've mostly been involved in the PS2,PSP and WII. You should see the size of the devkit for the PS2, it's insane.

Next-gen Gameplay trailer looks awesome.

@Tchuck: Wow, is it your part-time or full-time job? You might want to ask why they think we PC gamers don't have the hardware to run the ignite engine.

And they are still making a PS2 version?
