So yeah, it was announced on the first of April, and no it wasn't an April Fools Joke.

Finding Dory will be focused on the amnesiac character Dory, and will explore the idea of her being reunited with her family. It will take place one year after Finding Nemo and be set off the coast of California.

Starring: Ellen DeGeneres, Albert Brooks
Director: Andrew Stanton
Writer: Victoria Strouse
Producer: Lindsey Collins
Release Date: November 25, 2015

I would never have put it past Dory to get lost, so I suppose the choice in character makes sense.

I assume Nemo's going to be all grown up.

I don't think he'll be grown up. It's supposed to be 1 year after the events of Finding Nemo.
I think he'll be some kind of teen.

Looks like a cheap cash-in to be honest. I expect better from Pixar.

They have been making a lot of sequels lately but I loved the Toy Story sequels so I have no reason to expect poorly of Pixar. I'm really looking forward to this. smile.gif

However this will no doubt be in 3D to cash in on the whole "omg, we must do everything in 3D" craze that is sweeping Hollywood. I've not seen anything in 3D but the reaction from other folk I've spoken to has been on the whole flat (no pun intended), but considering the setting and the palette used in Finding Nemo (which no doubt will be the same here), the 3D effect might actually work.

Ah the soundtrack of the first film brings back so many nostalgic memories. Definitely looking forward to this. But 2015 seems like a long way to go man.

I hope Pixar gets back on track. Brave really left a bad taste in my mouth.
