GTA 4 slow performace and lag :(

So this are my specs :

Operating System
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Basic 32-bit SP1
CPU
Intel Mobile Core 2 Duo T6600 @ 2.20GHz 98 C
Penryn 45nm Technology
RAM
2.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR2 @ 397MHz (6-6-6-18)
Motherboard
Dell Inc. 0G848F (Microprocessor) 91 C
Graphics
Generic PnP Monitor (1366x768@60Hz)
Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family
Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family
Hard Drives
233GB Western Digital WDC WD2500BEVT-75ZCT2 ATA Device (SATA) 42 C
Optical Drives
MATsh*tA DVD+-RW UJ890 ATA Device

I've been running gta iv with tweaks ,patches, cracks and all but still it lags alot any soloutions? need help please guys sad.gif

Wrong category, mate.

As for the issue at hand, have you tried re-installing? If that doesn't work, delete GTA IV from your system and re-install from scratch.

You are using onboard graphics. You are using a Laptop so the only way around this would be to buy a new PC/Laptop.

Do NOT listen to this guys advice... you need to uninstall the game proper to revoke your license or you will run out of activations for future use.

BTW you have a decent laptop there to use as a computer, as a gaming rig it is absolute garbage, sorry to be so harsh, but it is the truth...

laptop processor : not terrific
2 gig ram : too short
integrated graphics : no way .. x)

sorry but only advice i could give you is to try with lowest settings possible , and if if this don't work , you'll have to buy some better hardware

The processor is by no means good but it would theoretically suffice for GTA IV on the lowest settings. 2GB isn't much but it should be enough, again on lowest settings, but the graphics card is just an onboard one and too weak for the game. You will not be able to run the game with a playable framerate unless you buy a new laptop or better yet, a new desktop PC.
