I always thought Big Smoke was the best. I don't care if he sold out, he was the sh*t.

...are my favorite characters in the game.

I liked Zero because he was nerdy and yet, at the same time, willing to go above and beyond to get rid of his enemy (letting CJ use his model airplane to kill Berkley's couriers for one mission). I liked The Truth because this guy was a hardcore hippie with some funny dialogue and actually convinced CJ to break into Area 69. He is just flat-out eccentric. Lastly, Mike Toreno, I mainly like him because he's such a mysterious character. I've always felt like there was something big going on behind the scenes that CJ will never know about because he was always left in the dark. His voice actor also did a phenomenal job voicing his character.

That being said, I was just wondering if anyone else here enjoyed them as much as I did in San Andreas.

I hate Zero with a passion.Toreno was great."Got you again, Carl. You're half asleep. I could have killed you in 9 different ways. Wake up and smell the coffee" is my favorite quote in the game. The Truth made me lol most of the time :Lizard king, astral goat, munga munga xD.

Mine too!

I adore Toreno, because he knows so much, doesn't betray his principles, even it requires him to be ruthless at times.

Truth is one funny f*cker biggrin.gif Also, the question of two vans in SF puzzles me up to this moment.

Zero is also a funny character, I love his dialogues... The one about butterflies is brilliant. The missions are funny as hell too, I mean, driving a toys around the city killing opponents... "They are not toys, Carl! They are real, only smaller!"

I guess I need to refresh my memory. What do you mean by the question of the two vans in San Fierro?

I liked Toreno and Truth as they were both mysterious. I would really like to know what was the deal with that van Truth wanted us to stop for and what that green goo was for. Sometimes I wonder to myself what we'd see if they made another introduction type video but as further insight on the dealings behind Toreno and the Truth.

But then again I suppose that might also take away from their appeal if you knew too much about them, the mystery would be gone. Hm.

I loved Toreno, he always had a mysterious feel about him. You never really know what he is up to.

As for the two vans, they were probably going to have a mission linked to them but then the decided to scrap it.
Just like there is lots of cancelled dialogue. If you have the subtitles on sometimes a extra line or two pops up the disappears quickly and nobody says it.

I like Toreno the most, he knows a lot and can pull the ropes in ways that would otherwise seem impossible. It's thanks to him that I can legally own a Hunter, a Hydra, and a personal airstrip.

The Truth is also quite a nice character. In the beginning I thought he was a bit off, but then his missions show that there may actually be some truth (not pun intended) to his way of thinking.

I'm somewhat neutral about Zero0. I like the character, but not the missions, they seemed out of place. I believe he was not properly developed, it would have been nice if his skills played a bigger role in the main quest.

Maybe someone could make a machinima for it? wink.gif

I would watch it if the writing was good and it had some action.

I agree, Toreno and The Truth are two of the most interesting characters in the game. Toreno claims that history as we know it is not always true, and The Truth seems to know all about this as well.

Zero I didn't find that interesting. A bit obnoxious actually, and his missions were kind of frustrating. But he does have his moments, Like in Zeroing In, "Oh, just a simple bit of electronic wizardry and intellectual bombast that hacks into the state of the art satellite immobilization technology on board our target vehicle!" "I don't know what he just said, but it's on."

I don't understand what the hell Truth is doing in a mission where he and CJ are going to find mechanics for CJ's garage. He stops by the hospital and police station. I think that has to do something with aliens or something...like some conspiracy, i dunno biggrin.gif especially when he says: "think about yellow rubber duck" or "picture a pink golf ball in your mind". I mean, the guy is totally misterious smile.gif

EDIT: << 'new' Topic merged into existing topic >>

Mine would be Woozie. He is awesome. I love the moments when Carls asks him if he knows he is black and he says, "Carl, I'm blind, not stupid." And then in the casino mission when the goon throws down the chips and he guesses one of is a fake. Carl is amazed and Woozie just says, "Why else would he come in here with two different chips and worried?"

I don't get this board at times. I asked specifically for favorite characters in SA and it ends up in a general favorite characters discussion. WTF?!

By the way, the characters COOLMAN mentioned are from SA.
