It depends. If I crash with like 250 km/h into a steel wall I should be dead. Unless I wore a seatbelt of course.

I can imagine that it will get annoying though. Maybe this won't be the case in free mode (multiplayer).

*Sigh* Another realism thread, but the funny thing is a lot of the people asking for realism are still speaking on unrealistic terms.

"t depends. If I crash with like 250 km/h into a steel wall I should be dead. Unless I wore a seatbelt of course." If you crash into a wall at 250 km/h (155mph) seatbelt or not you'd still be getting your brains scrapped of the pavement.

That's why I think that R* should make realistic car accidents.

In GTA IV if we jump from a skyscraper with a car you don't die when hit the ground! WTF?

I prefer realistic car deformation instead of getting killed at every crash

I think it would be cool if instead of just opening the door of the car when you drive into the water you have to kick the front window out or knock out the side window. I think this would work especially good for GTA V since their is also the possibility to dive underwater

Yes please. If someone can't drive that's their problem, it shouldn't ruin the fun of those who can drive.

Besides, ramming someone into a wall at high speeds in MP and seeing in the top left I killed them would be brilliant.

I like the idea but I think it shouldn't be too sensitive. I mean, if you crash, it shouldn't take like 50% health away, maybe 5% or something. Maybe you could even choose the sensitivity on the pause menu.

What makes you think I was being serious? orly.gif

But really, what if the physics are different from real-world in the game and wearing a seatbelt actually will prevent you from dying..? You only get a hell of headache (blurred vision). The g-factor won't exist there then. But obviously this is still very unrealistic and should belong in the Saints Row series.. GTA is more simulation than arcade.

IV balanced this nicely, you would get hurt when crashing, and if too hard would fly out the window. No need for any more.

True but if you have an Helmet and life at 100%, even if you fly off a car window, Niko won't die.

It would be nice if it was optional biggrin.gif
I prefer not to die when i crash ( they did that in mafia 2 and it sucked confused.gif ) but for the people who want to die in a car crash, why not make it optional? smile.gif

It just depends. I just hope that it isn't so realistic that we have to interact with some scumbag parasite attorney like Ken Rosenberg for every wreck. sly.gif

Then we have to go to physical therapy and all that, cause that would suck. Then, when we get ready to settle our claim, Rosenberg takes over half the money and so I bang his wife at a pool party like she's never had it before for revenge....uh...Nevermind.

Like you said: No - I will be dead all the time!

Plus, I don't want to get a new/different car every time I hit something! I want to drive recklessly until my car catches fire and explodes. smile.gif

Hated this in Driv3r. It's just stupid pseudo-realism that does absolutely nothing for the game except piss off 90% of the people who just want to have fun with a video game.

If R* are polishing little details, I think this could be one of them!

It's realistic.

what about parking fines, speeding tickets, nose bleeds, eating, sleeping, I think we should have to go to school in game too. How about when we start the game the protag starts of in his mothers womb. its realistic.

Throw in mandatory bathroom breaks and permanent death + crippling and we have a GOTY.

This is Grand Theft Auto, its originally based on crime, its not meant a virtual day in the of a human, go play Sims if you want that.

It was a joke. taking the micky out of people who take realism too far.
