Okay, so El Burro's payphone missions have a blue payhone icon, King Courtney's - a green payphone icon, D-Ice's - a red payphone icon but why Marty Chonks's don't have any? I think his missions should have a yellow payphone icon because there are many players who don't know that his missions exist. Don't you think so?

Haha, I loved Marty's mission. And I just noticed that! Weird. Perhaps Rockstar did include an icon because it is something they wanted you to look for/discover. I guess it brings life to the game.

I suppose they were intended to be found. Back in '01, it was a pretty big deal to complete GTA 3 100%, which today can be easily completed thanks to the internet.

I didn't know that his missions exist until I saw their walkthroughs in YouTube, so yeah, all tanks to the internet.

Hehe I remember when I was reading some GTa fansite few years ago and they were reffered as "secret missions" though I discovered them easily when I was playing for the first time.

There is a possibility that it was removed for unknown reasons.
Arsen Vitiuk said in this topic that after 'Drive Misty for me' the game files show this:

A friend said you could fix some problems I got. Get to the payphone in Trenton if you think you can help

It would obviously have been a pager message sent to inform the player of Marty's Missions

This.

Most likely R* decided to make them hidden.
They can be easily found without Internet or any kind of help, simply by hearing the Phone Ringing.
Especially when getting to Joey's missions.

@Th3MaN1 You do know that Internet did exist back in 2001? tounge2.gif

I actually never use the internet for any gaming help. I like to discover things on my own.

Let me ask you: How many people did have net in 2001?
Not much.
And even the people who had, they couldn't search up for GTA 3 info.

In 2001, not much info had been discovered about GTA III yet. You couldn't have found out much. Plus, not everybody had internet in 2001. My household didn't have internet until 2004, I believe.

Well, there is quite a number of Year 2001 Registered members over here.
Besides, There was Google since 1998.
So, basically, you could have easily searched "GTA III Guide" on Google and BAM, found it!

I doubt game walkthroughs were posted back then.

Or no-one knew absolutely everything about the game
