The more important question here is just who is this "Waingro"?

If R*'is giving us ways to spend our (assumed) fortune after the missions have ended, what happens if we blow all our money?

The majority of money is earned during missions, so if we piss our entire $10m on strippers, hookers and beer and there are no more missions to get money, will there still be ways to earn some extra cash so we can continue with free-roam?

It'd be cool if we could continue to do like drug runs/car boosting/races to make more money after the game.

So important, that nobody dared ask...

If any of you played sleeping dogs then there was a guy you could call who would get you to steal cars and drive them to him, now I doubt itll be that simple in V but it is an example of ways to make money after the game.

Hey I couldnt find if this was covered but another thread reminded me of this idea which has been brought up alot.

QUOTE
Alot of people have suggested the Tow service. Which would be another great way to use money.

Say you take your car on a mission and end up destroying it and having to find a new set of wheels. Well as soon as the mission is over you should get a call or text from a tow truck company saying it will be this much money to fix it and deliver it to your house. This way wen you go back to your crib the car is there brand new, and you wont be discouraged from using it in missions

I think the ability to constantly earn money is a must and previous games had this. (I'm thinking Taxi missions etc.) There should be a greater choice though, you're right. Races are an option. I think drug running is another option. Obviously the amount of money earned for each side-mission should reflect the level of illiegality/risk we expose ourselves to.

Just as there should be constant ways to meaningfully spend money, so too should there be meaningful ways to earn it.

Well said, almost seems like a simplified summary statement for the entire idea behind these.

Episode 2 Update:
The Script is finalized and all recordings are in. Expect to hear a few other voices this go round other than my own.

Script sections have been handed off to their respective A/V Editors.

All original artwork is in and applied to the script. Narcis is on deck but Whiskey has been a huge help this go round as well.

And *gasp* even I am getting in on a few of the visuals this go round having learned some of the finer points of editing in a combination of the GTA IV EFLC Video Editor and Sony Vegas Pro over the weekend. My brain hurts now. turn.gif

Barring any unforseen, f*ckery, I'm hoping to have something for you guys by the 3rd weekend of April at the latest.

@Shockenheim: Thanks. Spread the word at your site, we're trying to promote this thing where ever we can. icon14.gif

Micro-Update:
After a few days of horrible sickness I am back on the case and wanted to let everyone know that Episode 2 is well on it's way. Though my real life issues may have delayed my work slightly, we are still on track for roughly the same time Meta listed above. Should anything happen we will let you all know.

Once again, thank you all for the kind words and support. It makes this project even more fun! cool.gif

Thank you whoever pinned this. I *almost* (fearing some kind of wrath from the masses) posted a "bump" post this morning when I found this near the bottom of page 3. It blows my mind that some of these threads with basically no real purpose get sooo many views and replies whilst something with so much intellectual effort becomes lost in a sea of locked and pointless threads. I could never string together enough brains, commitment, and talent to create a video like this, let alone 3. Keep up the good work Meta, Pusher, and the rest of you guys who I don't actually know. Amazing work.

Meta and Pusher-Hope to see you guys on Max Payne again sometime soon, it's been awhile. Devil is about to pass u up for 1st Meta, and I'm closing in on 3rd.

Update: I'm still in my boxers and its well into the afternoon. I have managed to put off doing anything productive so far today and I can't see myself getting anything done in the rest of today either. I have read everything of any interest on this forum, all the links on the front 3 pages of reddit are now purple and I am now about to masturbate to the GTA V trailer 2.

The video was great, ideas so detailed, but it would be really hard to make that part of gta, you could make an entire game from one idea. I hope atleast some of your ideas will be implemented, good luck and waiting for the second video.

I think we all can agree that most of our money that we spent ever in gta game went into San Andreas's car customization. And that would probably be one of few things i'm really going to miss if it's not in gta V.

This gave me a idea that gta fans have such a thriving fan base that maybe it would be nice to get a bunch of hardcore gta fans together and have a mass debate about topics such as this like the tv program question time (uk political tv debate show) but talking about the upcoming release and maybe people could phone in and put across their views also.

When we discussed this a little on Facebook and Twitter the idea of doing something in a podcast type format seemed to come up a few times. This next installment has quite a few more voices added to the mix so that might be a nice way to test the waters and see how viewers enjoy it.

I don't want to jinx it but if everyone comes through with their parts we'll have it out sometime early to the middle of next week.
