I wasn't impressed until it showed Haddaway playing on the ship's radio.

This looks like mix of Splinter Cell,Fallout,Prototype,Mass Effect and Matrix? I am actually interested to see how is all this looks like.

It was probably the way the uploader transitioned it, but the f*ck?

Starts off with special ops military stuff, then it goes to leave it to beaver, then some alien fighting stuff and then flying a spaceship through some strange place with Haddaway blasting.

Not bad. Not bad at all.

Actually, I'm actually excited for this.. And I'm saying this as someone who was massively disappointed with SRTT. Not only has the game actually improved drastically from the last, but Volition is directly supporting the modding community by creating a full SDK for the game as well as for SR2 and SRTT. So basically the game can modded as much as GTA now.

The cutscenes don't look DLC worthy to me, they look like it's literally a new game.

Also love their trailers, no matter how goofy the game is, they have one of the best trailers of 2013 each time they bring something out, in my opinion

It would be awesome if Saints Row The Third never existed, because it looks too much like it.

I think I'm gonna cancel my CE pre-order of GTA V Don't worry, I'm gonna downgrade to SE, trade in most of my games, and get this. I'm honestly impressed with how much they have improved. Honestly, i was really disapointed with SRTT, but this looks soo much better. I had my doubts, but it seems like Volition has got their sh*t together. biggrin.gif

Now I get the romance, a parody of Mass Effect. Win the person's respect, maybe choices, and bam! You're f*cking!

I just don't understand the hype for this game at all. I understand people have their own opinions and whatnot but this just looks out right ridiculous. They are still riding the wave from GTA IV being too "boring" and "realistic" and contrary to popular belief adding more outrageous things to canceled DLC content just to get numbers before GTA V comes out is not innovative.

I got more and more excited as more info came out. I hope Volition realized their mistakes with SR3 and improve. So far this is my kind of game.

So, you'd rather have a serious and gritty SR, that's the same thing as every single sandbox game on the market?

I love what has Volition done. They evolved SR from a hardcore GTA clone to game good and unique enough to stand on it's own. SR should be an example to every developer who makes a "clone" game of popular franchise. No, I don't mean they should add purple dildos to everything, I mean they should look at what makes their game different and embrace it, instead of squashing it and making the game as similar to competition as possible. Recently, 343 Industries with Halo 4 was guilty of this. Not a bad game at all, but in a pursuit of making a competition for CoD, they have forgotten some things that made Halo great.

And I'd say SR IV is pretty innovative. I've never seen a superhero game with so much customization, sci-fi weapons and different powers that you can switch up on the fly. Maybe MMOs like DC Universe Online are quite like this, but not among other genres.

Near the bottom, he asks Volition about some of the controversies of The Third.

Short and sweet of it: Gat originally died on screen, in a heroic fashion. Shaundi suffered from survivor's guilt over it. Killbane NUKED Stillwater, killing Dex and other original characters. THQ felt this was way too dark and forced Volition to change it.

...

Nice to see that since E3 people's opinion of this game have changed for the positive. I've been excited for the game since day 1. I dare say my hype for Saints Row is bigger than for GTA V (which has been pretty friggin' high since the three character trailers). :-P

SR2 wasn't necessarily serious and gritty but in my opinion and many others opinions it's by far the best of the series. I don't care if it's more of the same because that 'more of the same' was one of the best games I've ever played with SR2 and that's my honest opinion. To me the 'unique' element of the series now is just plain dumb, maybe that's because the humour that they've persisted with is humour I detest.

Hopefully it doesn't happen and if it doesn't I'll for sure get this game.

QUOTE (Overall)
Based on the preview, Saints Row IV is well-written, funny, and endlessly entertaining—a shining example of the best the genre has to offer. It’s rife with 80’s and 90’s movie and pop culture references, and completely aware of (and unapologetic for) its countless riffs and over-the-top silliness. It’s also one of the relatively few “GTA-style” games still made for us PC gamers since Rockstar abandoned us long ago.

I expect a nuclear flaming. If something, you'll find me in a bunker, hiding from the insane war that is about to happen.

idk, i had ALOT of fun with SR2, tried SR3, beat it and was done with it. Im gonna wait a few months after SR4 is released to buy it because i dont see it being very entertaining. i like good driving mechanics in sandbox games, which SR never had. I do like the customization of the game like enlarging tits and sh*t like that but im not 12 years old anymore.

Didn't find the video but I found radio stations with songs on the wiki.
102.4 Klassic FM
97.6 K12 FM
95.4 KRhyme FM
89.0 Generation X
103.6 420 FM
107.77 The Mix FM
Mad Decent 106.9 (New radio station)

Only 43 days left.

So, K12 has Promises which is pretty sweet, but they quickly ruined GenX and KRhyme with Papa Roach and Macklemore.

Wow the KRhyme list looks horrible, the only good song they got is from G-Eazy. I thought they would learn from SR3 and not put in a bunch of mainstream sh*t.

Barely any stations, too.

We've gone from like 4 rock stations in SR1, then there's 3 in SR2, only 2 in SR3 and 1 in SR4. And the SR4 one isn't even that good. confused.gif

At the moment, I am too (mostly thanks to Idol's articles). But I don't know which one I'll prefer overall.

But seriously, this is awesome. Both GTAV and SRIV are coming soon. Gonna have fun playing both. Lots of fun.

Wow, considering The Mix 107.77 was one of the only good stations in SR3, the list is crap in SR4. It's nice to see "Song 2", "The Boys Are Back In Town" and "Safety Dance" on the list as well as some Aerosmith, but I hate how it went from an 80s pop/rock station to some 80s/90s/00s alternative/dance station. I'm not even familiar with half the songs on that playlist.

As for the other stations. Again, I know barely any of these songs or artists, it just shows how low their music licensing budget is.
