Widescreen fix for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time please?

As I remember UniWS worked fine.

Edit: Well, not very good for all but still playable I think

The thing is, though, your FOV will be reduced and the UI/HUD will be stretched (but the game scene will be fine, apart from the FOV). If parts of HUD get off screen, open the game's hardware.ini file and change CanStretchRect=1 to CanStretchRect=0. Having done that, save changes and make the file read only. The file is in a folder such as f:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\žprince Of Persia The Sands of Time.

i know this is a childish game but could you please have a look at Sonic Heroes, if you have it,

there were other widescreen fixes but it made the characters short and fat, so there never was a proper widescreen fix

I made a downgrade patches for steam owners of GTA 3/VC/SA. It will turn your steam version of GTA to retail 1.0 version, which will allow to install any mods to it.
https://dl.dropboxus..._downgrader.zip

QUOTE (reroll @ Wednesday, May 1 2013, 05:05) OMG if you could move the radar to the middle screen I would love you forever. If you needed help testing it I'd do anything. Ive been waiting for a mod to move the HUD for 5 years!!!
Unlikely.

Not to be annoying, but is it normal your gta_sa.exe is some bytes different from the vanilla hoodlum 1.0 us?

I even found your gta-vc.exe different from the standard gimpsRus nocd..

Did you know that? Could it be something which could compromise complex mods such as TTDISA?

Thank you

Some of that exe's could contain patched bytes for disabling intro movies. Shouldn't cause any troubles.
And, afair, SA exe have one 'data' string changed to 'save', but it's unused anyway.

P.S. Just played Max Payne Mobile a bit, i like how they fixed comics screen, might try to do the same on my fix after all. And perhaps black borders will be gone too.

Yeah, just as soon as i have time to do so.

The idea is to get rid of bottom part of the screen, making the whole comics fullscreen with small borders at the left and right side. How mobile handles it:
W2W6vSc.jpg

And my concept:
EBdV0M5.jpg SW2koD2.jpg cW1hbkd.jpg
(original/widescreen stretched/how it should be)

I won't do any requests until all things i planned will be done first. And then i don't know, time will tell.

Maybe that "touchscreen" was behind those changes.

Good old scaling are back:

But it's also possible to use original or any other custom values:

So, i think it's ready for testing:
Vice City Widescreen Fix - http://www.sendspace.com/file/btgeme

It's unfinished, but i hope someone can test it and let me know what needs to be fixed, altered, added or whatever.

Also, GTAVC_widescreen_fix.asi is fine or i should keep the old name vc_widescreen_fix_remake.asi?

P.S. Notice that i added ASI Loader, because of resolution override plugin, but you still can use just .asi+.ini with regular loader.

Well the first thing is:

-vehicles is vanished on streets

-the radar icons is verY GOOD but the center icon is a little bit small

-the radio text is big again

-nowidescreenborders.txt isn't work

-menu map is pushed to left a bit

-in missions, target's is miscplaced

-motorbikes corona is still stretched,

but the good thing is Fov is great and 4:3 is also supported, but I use 16:9 1366X768.

-in missions, target's is miscplaced
Noted.

-the radar icons is verY GOOD but the center icon is a little bit small
Well, that's because of changed proportions, i don't know if there's a better way to achieve thin radar, but i'll look into it.

-nowidescreenborders.txt isn't work
Yeah, it's not gonna. I might add this option to ini, or it can be controlled via unused widescreen menu option.

-menu map is pushed to left a bit
Can't center it, so it's gonna be that way.

-motorbikes corona is still stretched,
All vehicle coronas are stretched. Should i include this as an option?

Thanks for your help btw. :)

UPD. Here's hotfix for cars - http://www.sendspace.com/file/ys4v8g
