So how do you beat Shotgun Challenge 3? My shotgun is maxed out, but I am getting my ass handed to me in Round 3. The guy in Booth 2 must have a specialized gun or something because he seems to be taking out 2-3 targets with one shot. I have gone through this stupid thing 11 times and he has won every time. Even when I managed to be 4 points ahead of him the match ended with me a 15 and him at 20. Every other time he reaches 20 when I am not even at 10. This is ridiculous, especially when I have to keep doing the Pistol and SMG ones every time.

I start at the bottom right, left, up one left, right, and so on.
It will depent on how you develope the rhythem.
Don't get excited, try to be 'cool' and just go with it.
When your stressed stop. Work on a pattern for yourself.
Try different starting points and movements.
Don't take too long before shots, rapid shots have larger 'hit circles'.

I'm trying to hit them as fast as possible, but I'm still hitting 1 maybe 2 at most on the targets before the next one has to come up.

Anyway, I've given up on that for now and am working on the Los Santos races. My god these are a pain in the ass. I just completed the fourth one, which had my driving in a slow ass car while the guy who would always end up in 1st place was driving some super speed car, so if you crash once, it is pretty much over.

EDIT: So far, this challenge, Dirt Track, and Barnstorming are the bane of my existence.

Dirt Track is impossible because if I don't hit 1st Place before the end of Lap 1/middle of Lap 2, the person in the lead can never be caught up to as he is too far ahead.

I have absolutely no control over the plane in Barnstorming at all. I slight tap it to go left, it barrel rolls into the water. I try to use the rudder to turn, it starts swinging around out of control. I don't think I have even made it past the 8th checkpoint in that one.

And obviously I've already given my lament on the Shotgun challenge.

On the positive side, today I completed the bike school (got all golds but in the two that require stoppies), the Los Santos races, the first 4 San Fierro ones, 3 of the Air Races (the Hunter, the helicopter-like slow plane, and the first one), the 7th trucking missions, and bought all of the safehouses in Las Venturas along with getting one of the ones I still need in San Fierro (I've pretty much only got the really expensive ones left across the map).

Strange though, I have only been playing the game for 2 weeks and I'm already 70% done. I mean, yes, sure, I was asking if it could be completed in a month's time, but that was when I was planning to start it in June. I don't need it done that soon, but I seem to be running out of side things to do. sad.gif Of course, if I cannot beat those three I mentioned above, it won't matter.

Personally, I found the shooting range challenge on Vice City much harder. If you beat that, you can beat this. Aim for the outer portion first, then go for the middle.

Barnstorming should be easy for you seeing as you have all gold in pilots school. How about a trade: I'll complete barnstorming for you and you can win all gold in pilots school for me? I suggest practicing with the stunt place as to hone your skills and also, watch walk-throughs to get familiar with the pattern of the course.

As for Dirt Track, lay down dozens of satchel charges, let the racers take a lap then when they return and reach the charges, detonate.

How do you lay down satchel charges when you are on a bike?

Besides, won't attacking them disqualify the match?

You don't, you get off the bike, lay them, wait for the racers to do a lap then detonate.

Only certain races (such as "Beat the Cock" - not required) will disqualify you. Dirt Track is not one of them; killing competitors is permitted there.

Well I'll try that later.

BTW, I decided I was just going to try the Ammunation challenge once per day I play this game, so guess what happened? I beat it the one time I tried to do it today. tounge.gif

Odd.

I also did the Freight Train missions and bought up all of the remaining save houses.

It took me like a year to beat San Andreas story line missions because I had to hide it from my mom when she came home

So what all do you have left to do now?

I'm actually 85.03% done.

As such, I have everything in both story mission and side mission wise done up to the Casino missions, which I have not started.

After 2 hours of playing it yesterday I finally beat Barnstorming and the races for LV were actually quite good and not that bad. Two of the four I beat on my first try, while it took me three tries on the other two due to stupidity. In fact, I'd say the only tournament races that gave me any real trouble were all in LS.

I really wish I could replay the mission where you sneak into Area 69 though, since the first time I was being really stealthy and forgot about the time limit. The second time I just went in guns blazing and had to go into the vent to get into the facility, which set off the alarm.

Oh yeah, and I somehow beat NOE on my first attempt. I have no idea how I did it, as the first time I played this game I played that mission 63 times before I stopped playing the game entirely and then when I started to play the game again in 2008 it took me 16 attempts to beat it. Here, I beat it with ease and did not even actually think about it until after the fact.

It's kind of sad though, because it looks like the only side quests I'll have left are the quarry ones.

This isn't a one time through game smile.gif You can always restart when you finish.
And, remember you have EIGHT save slots. Once you're done you will know which to save and keep for replay.
Plus you can copy your saves to other files/cards to go back for more individual fun. icon14.gif

I usually only play the game about every 4 years or so, especially when I am at 83 hours currently.

Anyway, I completed all of the Quarry missions today. My god, that final one was a pain in the ass. The first time I actually got the truck to the dumping site, the bike would not budge and I ended up falling in. -_- Then, two times the truck got hit by the stupid traffic that was rushing at sonic speed across the highway and knocked my cargo out.

I guess the only side stuff I can really do now is date Heather and Denise, which I might do. We'll see.

Just to clarify, Denise, "Helena" and the other girlfriends are not necessary for 100% completion. Some girlfriends do bring nice bonuses though. Of all the girlfriends, Millie is the nicest, considering she gives you a prize (key card) at 35% (though you can kill her to get it - killing the other girlfriends won't get you anything) whereas the other girlfriends don't give you an item until 100%.

Did you do the Valet side missions? Return to where the 555 WE TIP mission was played (with the Valet Uniform) and enter the red marker. Did you do the courier missions? For example, did you get on the Faggio at the Red-Sands East Burger Shot?

Yeah, I know, I just want to date them to get the outfits they give me just for the hell of it.

And yep, I have done everything. I am at 86.63%, which is where I should be according to the checklist I have been using.

Make sure you have all Oysters before dating. If you do, the first date will always be disastrous, but every successful date after she will offer "coffee" (earlier than usual) which will boost your progress faster.

Need help with anything else?

Nope, I am good. I just completed the Casino, Mafia, and heist missions. Those heist missions were pretty damn awesome and fun.

So I have 4 missions left and I was wondering, is it possible to get 100% of the territory taken? The reason I ask is because I am walking around in circles and waiting for other gangs to appear so I can start a gang war, but it does not seem to be working out, especially when I have 6 dudes with me.

Secondly, how do I get my gambling skill up?

You can takeover 100% of Ballas & Vagos territory, but if you want to takeover Azteca, Triad, Rifa or Da Nang territory, you'll need a cheat device. The more friendly gang members you have recruited, the less rivals will spawn and when they do, it'll be in smaller amounts, especially if you're on foot. To get around that, get a coach bus (spawns at Dillimore diner frequently) and drive around the area. What territories are giving you trouble and what 4 missions remain?

Gambling skill increases by gambling and especially, by collecting the horseshoes.

The final four missions of the game. The last one I did was the one with B Dup as all I have been doing was taking over Ballas territory now.

By the way, I have to say that I really hate the stealth mechanics of this game. I love the fact they wanted to include stealth in the, as I am a big AC/MGS fan, but they were done poorly. For example, in the mission when Toreno sends you into the boat, you don't even know anyone is around until suddenly you hear an alarm go off. That really blew and ruined my stealthy attempt. Then you have the take over of Mad Dogg's mansion, which has you coming in by plane to do it in stealth, only to have you in a gun fight the moment you land. WTF? What was the whole point of doing an air drop then?

As for gambling, I have all of the horse shoes, but my gambling skill is still at 0%. I even spent a half hour on blackjack and it did not increase even a percent. I also have no idea how you are supposed to even win in the game where you put your money on a color and number or the wheel of fortune game.

Anyway, I have a snow day tomorrow, so I'll most likely finish the game then.

• When CJ swims to the boarding ramp if you donít rush up it you will see two men talking. Donít advance until you see them walk away. You can use stealth to sneak up to the crates. Shoot the Forklift driver with silenced-pistol. Then you can advance to the lounge to do the same with the relaxing marine. BUT you can just storm the ship, forgetting the Alarm, as it doesnít make much difference. Stealth is implied, but not necessary.
• In the ĎHome Comingí there is NO stealth. Itís just a land and kill everybody. (I use Molotov Cocktails for most of it.)
• It's just a chance to use the parachute skills, like in the 'Dam & Blast'.
• Gambling luck/skill has to do with the Large (1kís) Amounts Bet, not the Horseshoes.
