Is there a thorough log on the police scanner?

Rarely is it heard and I lack the patience to compile every incident that's mentioned via the scanner, so I was wondering if anyone has done so since I can't find a log on it? There's also a different log issued during the riots strand.

From my search there appears to be NO specific meaning of the 10-Codes used in the San Andreas Game.

Yeah, gang members that are in missions aren't programmed as actual gang members. They don't confront other street gangs and don't raise gang members killed stats.

I did some further testing with these factors and gangs on missions certainly don't behave as actual gang members. For example: if you fail Pier 69 (lets say by killing Caesar) the mission Rifas will stop shooting at you. They will instead insult your hair, shoes, etc like random pedestrians. Likewise, if you fail Los Desperados (by killing Sonny, Hazer, etc) the mission Vagos will stop shooting you. They too will insult your hair, shoes, etc like random pedestrians. Very fascinating, indeed.

Hmm, I wonder if there's any method to find those quotes from gang members without failing missions. The only gang that typically talk about your appearance is Grove Street. I wonder what kind of things Ballas would say?

On the streets, Grove will talk about your appearance whereas enemy gangs will ask you where you're from. This isn't the case when you fail missions that involve enemy gangs. Examples: I failed Outrider by destroying the van; I then approached the bald Da Nang boy and he said: "You look bad!" Failing Pier 69 by killing Caesar and approaching the Rifa that wears sunglasses, he says: "Greasy hair, man". They don't ask you where you're from like real gang members. Fascinatingly, the Triads will compliment you like Grove when you fail a mission (A home in the Hills, Pier 69) involving them. One says: "Dressed like a star". Then again, the triads are allies during missions, not enemies. Like you said, they are not "programmed as actual gang members" on missions. I would create a log on what all they say, but it would be too time consuming. I did some searching and no one seems to have compiled a list yet.

The Varios Los Aztecas in the mission 'Los Desperados' also comment on CJ's appearance outside of the mission. There's probably a lot of unherable gang quotes of this type outside of hacks. The Mafia, along with certain voices of other gangs, probably don't have very many instances where these type of quotes can be heard. The Ballas and Vagos is possible for all members. If I recall, sometimes a gang war will end with just one Balla or Vagos member left. After that, they become like normal civilians.

That's why I wonder if there's some possible method that can turn any gang member into a "normal civilian", perhaps by the recruit anyone cheat?

On a side note, I think it's funny how the Mafia and Triads will say things like "Don't ignore me!" whenever they don't ask you anything at all. Sometimes they'll just glare at you, and if you hit left on the d pad, they'll start shooting you, as if they're asking you where you're from. They also have animations for chasing after girls, like the other street gangs do, but they don't say anything. It makes sense why they don't have quotes that pertain to these things, since they're more of an organized crime syndicate as opposed to a street gang, but it's still kind of annoying.

The VLA guy wearing the shorts and white shirt; he commented saying: "Wow, it looks like you got your shoes from WW2" upon ending the low-rider challenge. I don't know if that's a compliment or insult. Recruiting REAL gang members with cheats doesn't work, they still ask where you're from and attack Grove & other gangs when you venture into their territories. I also notice some gangs do not have quotes during particular instances. Grove and Triads; if they kill a rival, they don't say a word. Aztecas will say things like: "Hope ya had a nice life" and the Mafia will say things like: "No one messes with the family". Gang 9 & 10 (unseen without mods or cheat devices) ask where you're from a lot more than any gang. They both look like the Aztecas and are hard to tell apart. I noticed on vigilante missions, sometimes enemy gangs spawn, but killing them increases your criminals wasted stat.

I did more testing and if you kill the Jersey wearing Grove member talking to the drug dealer on cleaning the hood mission, it doesn't count as a friendly gang member killed. Same if you kill a Grove guy on Catalyst and other missions. The only exceptions I've seen are Los Sepulcros & House party.

Actually, thanks to cheat devices, there are gangs in Las Venturas (on my file). Judging by codes I found, Rockstar intended for there to be two other gangs in the game, but for some reason, Rockstar erased them before the final release. They look like the Aztecas and drive Sentinels. I have a hunch they were supposed to be Leones or Forellis. However, they can be put back in the game with cheat devices (PS2) or mods (PC).

Rockstar did intend for the Triads to spawn at 4 Dragons and the Italian Mafia to spawn at Caligulas, judging by other codes I found.

As for why they nullified their original plans, nobody knows except them because they won't speak. I think they like us speculating.

^though they are not in the original version of the game. They only appear as guards in Caligula's Casino, which is their only appearance outside of missions.

If you play a rigged version of SA, Triads will also appear at the 4 Dragons, and the Mafia will appear at places nearby the Caligulas. They can also appear by doing the territory glitch, but I haven't tried it yet.

The mafia drives Feltzers and Admirals, and can be seen carrying Desert Eagle pistols, though they are not that accurate.(I have tried it already in the chain game.)

The Las Venturas Mafia (by default) only appears in missions or inside Caligulas; they do have territory in Bayide Marina. If you get them as your least favorite gang, it'll say "Sindaccos". Their Desert Eagles are more accurate than Groves Desert Eagles.

By the way, do not confuse them with the unused gangs that do not appear at all (even in missions) that I mentioned earlier. The mafia have a default territory (Bayside Marina) so don't refer to them as "unused". They are not unused. Gang 9 & 10 look like the Aztecas and drive only Sentinels.

They appear anywhere in the map in that case, in one or more vehicles, but never around the streets.

The Sindaccos should have also spawned around Whitewood Estates, they have several fronts there, like the OP said.

Anyway, do the guards inside the casinos really count for the gang members count? I think I once tried it and it didn't work.

Although it wasn't stated in the game here is what I think happened:
As much as CJ seems stupid and naive in the game I think he decided to go ahead and plan to kill the "top dogs" instead of going from the bottom. O.G. Loc seemed more like a pawn than a top dog. Plus if he had in-fact killed O.G. Loc before Big Smoke. He would have seen it coming, and he would have had time to prepare for CJ attacking him. He may have been more protected if he saw a bunch of the people whom also played a part in betraying CJ die.

If Smoke's gang members (pawns as I call them) all died he would have been more alert, basically.

I would say he would see it coming anyway, seeing as Ryder died, and you have to take over a lot of territories in order to unlock the final mission.

The inclusion of OG Loc in this topic doesn't make sense.
CJ empowered OG when CJ stole the book for him.
All OG wanted to do was become a Rapper.
That Big Smoke managed him is no different thatn CJ managing Madd Dogg.
OG's lack of skill in no way reflects on CJ or CJ's gang.

No, the casino guards do not count on gangs killed stat. Neither does the following:

-Ballas killed on Cleaning the hood, Drive-Thru, Drive-By, Green sabre, End of the line and etc doesn't raise your enemy gangs killed stats.

-Vagos killed on Wrong side of the tracks, A home in the hills, Los desperados, End of the line and etc doesn't raise your enemy gangs killed stats.

-Rifas killed on Pier 69, End of the Line don't raise your enemy gangs killed stats.

-Da Nang boys killed on Amphibious assault, The Da Nang thang, Outrider and etc doesn't raise your enemy gangs killed stats.

-Mafia killed on Freefall, The meat business, Saint Mark's bistro and etc doesn't raise your enemy gangs killed stats.

I posted a topic about it here:

I think they were meant to be on the streets but R* didn't include them. I wonder why they didn't include Sindacco Family outside of Caliguila's Casino?

As I said, gangs killed on missions (including the Mafia) and in Casinos DO NOT raise your "enemy gangs killed" stat. Only gangs killed on streets (or in gang wars) count. Mafia only spawn (by default) in Bayside Marina. Killing them there will raise the enemy gangs killed stat.

Yeah, I guess you're right. OG Loc didn't directly betray CJ. Although the money Big Smoke earned from being his manager did support the Loco Syndicate.

I don't think Big Smoke made any money from managing OGL. The radio broadcast sounded to me like BS was having it on about OG.

They're just peds that have the same textures, but they're just peds, the game doesn't count them internally as gang members.
