The first Donald Love missions Toni is forced to do... I cannot stand them. I hate every aspect of them actually.

The first mission all you're doing is stealing a corpse for the prick to devour. This is the only mission I can tolerate, it's a drive to, obtain vehicle, drive vehicle to point B. Basic set-up, but fine.

The next mission is where I get angry. Okay, so Love wants Toni to campaign for him in Liberty City? What gripes me about this is that there is basically a time limit-like system with the two other vans. If they get too many areas, mission fail. When Toni gets enough areas, e then must destroy the other vans... Alright... so WHY didn't he just destroy the vans at the beginning? That would've made everything that much easier! You can't say it is because the voters would see this and not listen to Toni's campaigning because they witness it after that part of the mission!

After this is Cam-Pain, which is just crowd murder with security dogging you from point A. This mission annoys me. I always die trying to get from ground level to rooftop and back down, there's no stopping it. When I actually do manage to survive this part security always gets me the instant I get to another group. I don't like it, NEXT!

Friggin the Riggin... Friggin the Riggin... I HATE THIS MISSION WITH ALL MY HEART. Toni always dies, I always find a way to blow myself up in the building, and the Forellis are so resilient it's like they're respawning!! I can kill every Forelli in sight and destroy the ballots BUT STILL MANAGE TO GET MY ASS HANDED TO ME. This mission makes me rage every playthough. How I ever manage to get past them is beyond me.

Next up is Love & Bullets. In theory, this should be the easiest mission in Love's section. It isn't seeing as how his limousine is made out of Styrofoam and gets eviscerated instantly it seems. The vehicle seems top heavy in this mission too for some reason and is prone to flipping. The damn Forellis that give chase don't help that part out either.

Then it's Counterfeit Count, and GOOD LORD this mission is boring. All we are doing is following another MYSTIFYING ballot van around town, killing everyone it comes into contact with. My two gripes: 1. Why is Toni following the van, killing the people that it gives ballots to, and not just destroying the van? That's utterly pointless! 2. Didn't Love specifically say that even HE wouldn't rig the vote? Isn't that exactly what he's doing? What a hypocrite!

Now for the KILLER. LOVE ON THE ROCKS. Just kill me now, and the game does. The guards at the docks attack in the most ridiculous way I've ever seen (apart from one other mission whose name has slipped my mind) and it's suicide to go in from any direction. If you actually manage to survive that, return to Love, who has the news that made me make this topic:

He lost the election anyway.

After all that crap, point a to point b, kill this person, take that person's corpse... AND HE STILL LOST. The entirety of these missions make me rage not only at the difficulty, but of the lack of support to the game's plot.

Tl;Dr, F*CK Donald Love's missions in GTA LCS. I despise them and that's the bottom line.

Thread 6000 of Liberty City Stories sub-forum, btw.

The only two Donald Love missions which bother me are 'Steering the Vote', which I don't even struggle at that much now and 'Love on the Rocks'.

Salvatore's Staunton missions are where the sh*t gets sh*t.

Oh god, words cannot describe how badly I hate Donald Love in LCS compared to III. In III, Love was a mysterious, wise businessman. In LCS, however, he's a lunatic cannibal. Why, Rockstar, why!?

I actually enjoyed the "wacky" version of Love in LCS, but also liked him in III.

Something I also hate is how he disappears in both LCS and III! Where could he possibly go? He even goes from the annoying psycho in LCS to the more refined... near-diplomatic politician he is in III? How can 3 (game) years change that much about him? I know it's just a game and I'm over analyzing this in every way... but hey, the guys at IGN get paid to do it so why can't i do it for fun?

This. Donald Love was and still is my favourite character in GTA III. I loved how he always sound calm, professional with the way he talked but his LCS rendition is nowhere similiar to his III's one. I mean it's drastically different from his III rendition it doesn't even makes sense that he changed so much within 2 years.

Not only are the first missions hell, but then you have to work for him AGAIN...

Panlantic Land Grab: I just hate this mission because we're killing Avery Carrington, one of the characters I was hoping would have a more climactic end to his life rather than by Toni because he's helping Love... It doesn't help that all Love explains is that he'll get rich from it. I don't want to help him anymore. Never did to begin with.

Stop the Press: This is actually one of my favorite missions in the game. However, Donald Love's presence is ruining the effect. We finally get to kill that BULLsh*t reporter from the MANDATORY News broadcast after every two missions: Ned Burner. This mission makes a high speed chase on Faggios epic.

Morgue Party Resurrection: Another chase and dine. Amazing. Why can't Love get his food himself? I'm a pizza delivery guy, not a corpse delivery guy. This mission of course is absolutely pointless filler that Love is well known for, and we get a measly $2,000 for running around Shoreside Vale again. The kicker here is that right after this mission we're given the bombshell (no pun intended) that we have to waste $20,000 on Love's next ridiculous plan. Fun.

The mission Bringing the House Down is only half Love for me, and I have no problems other than it's really easy to get cars stuck in the tunnels.

Love on the Run: Further reminder that missions beginning with "Love on the" are going to be senseless massacres of random enemies. Also, how the hell did Love get into Catalina's Mansion in his current financial state? I die quite often on this one with barely any places for cover in the empty yard of this house.

And finally all of Donald Love's f*cking missions are over and out. God, I hate this guy. He was at least a likable character in GTA III, but here in LCS... what happened? Barely any of his missions are fun, and even when they're fun, it's just "kill horde of enemies #734."

Donald Love was, to put it bleakly, tedious and I dread these missions whenever I start a new playthrough of GTA LCS.

The only Sal mission in Staunton I had issues with was a Walk in the Park (Very ironic name.)

The others were lots of fun. What's everyone's problem with Taking the Peace? The new camera angle was one I'd wanted in GTA for a long time. Sure you couldn't look back, but that isn't terrible is it?

But Toshiko Kasen's missions?

...

Here we go again. These missions bothered the hell out of me for such a long time. Now that I've reached this point in my latest playthrough, I remember why.

More Deadly than the Male: Basically we meet Kasen without any warning. Where does she fall into the story? She just wants her husband dead, but won't do it herself, so Toni is forced to do it on his own. And what a way to introduce Kasen, with such an awful mission.

First off you have to take out a bunch of Yakuza guarding a solitary boat. Seriously, this is a lot of guards for one boat. And they're all packing some of the best weapons in the game. After fighting through that you take the boat to take out the rest of the Yakuza everywhere in Staunton Bay. If you run out of bullets, you are screwed. And there's a lot. They have powerful boats. It's such a stress because your boat is so flimsy while they have about 7 powerful boats. What a chore. At least we get the minigun out of all this.

Cash Clash: This mission can be one of the easiest or the hardest in the game. If you don't take the lead truck out first, you're gonna have a bad time. After that you'll have to memorize their routes to get out ahead of them and destroy them. the reward of $3000 us't much considering we're dealing with trucks FULL of money.

A Date With Death: An overall stressful mission, because you have to pick up the tuxedo every single time while under a time limit. After the opera... which is pretty random for a date if you ask me... you're jumped by Forellis. If you don't take them out, you'll get gang banged by them. And even after you escape them, they still give chase. Kasen's Limo isn't powerful by any means, so it's pretty much depending on chance whether enough you'll survive to Kasen's home.

Cashing in Kazuki's Chips: It pains me to see how clueless Toni is without his bosses. Anyway, we go to the Yakuza casino, fight through a horde of powerfully packing Yakuza troops, and meet up with Kazuki who has just been hanging out on a nearby rooftop for the 5 minutes you go through the Yakuza. When up there he challenges you to a sword fight. You can't take out your weapon, or you'll be slaughtered by his 4 guards with AKs Unless of course you take the guards out before Kazuki. Overall this is the most enjoyable mission until you go back to Kasen and expect lots of thanks and cash... only for the bitch to roll right out the window. Why couldn't we just take out Kazuki on our own? What was Kasen's problem? Her life was complete because Toni killed her husband?? Well... that was anticlimactic.

Well... there's my Kasen rage. Let's wait and see what the next boss I'll be enraged at will be.

I don't want to remember Donald's missions, but I remember I hated them. It's been a long time since I played LCS, so I don't really remember what kind of missions he gave to Toni. I only remember the voting mission, where you need to drive a truck and win the voting I think.

Since I just recently bought the game on PSN I was having trouble with about 2 missions only, most took about 4 tries tops (the difficulty ones).

I remember beating his last mission but since I kept shooting the last van it blew up in front of me while I was on my bike, I got the mission passed screen but couldn't get out of the bike in time and since I don't want to complete the game with a death I had to re-do it.

And the one where you use a van to those 5 checkpoints while other vans are taking them took me about 7 tries before I finally knew that it would be easier to turn around to get them back instead of going towards the farthest ones.

Don't know about you guys, but personally I didn't have anything against any of Donald's missions. Yes, many of them were quite challenging, and I have failed many on my first attempt. And I didn't have any moral disputes inside me either. I just played. That is all.

The same goes for Toshiko's missions.

Well I never had anything against Donald's missions and Toshiko... well it was that mission where you take her to the opera and get surrounded by gunmen (or police, i forgot) on the way out. SHE WALKS SO SLOW!!!! So she dies bored.gif

Although I say this it can be avoided

DAMMIT!! More problems.

The hidden packages are really starting to anger me. I'm at 85/100 and found 2 but can't reach them!

The one on top of the Portland gas station. There's a jump at the junkyard that I assume you're supposed to jump a motorcycle from there but can't find one quick enough to make it! I'm getting so close but no dice!!! ARGH!

Then the one in the construction site in Portland. I have no idea at all how to reach this one!

These aren't so much "Hidden Packages," rather "Awkwardly Placed and Difficult to Reach Packages"

The package located on that building (03:35) can also be reached by getting on L-Train railroad and jumping from it to the top of the building. Very useful if one wants to collect this package before the mission "Blow up dolls", after which it is possible to do that unique jump shown in the video.

I used the method presented in the video above, but I'll check if it's possible to make it.

Edit: made it. I just don't know if we are talking about the same place of performing the jump. Is it this: http://i.imgur.com/bBwQBA1.png ?

Yeah, that's the one. I finally got it somehow. I fell off of the bike after hitting the side of the platform. I didn't fall off the platform and I've finally gotten that damn hidden package. As for the other one, I jumped off the railroad tracks and made it over. Those have evaded me for so long, now to find the last 13 of them.

EDIT: Oh my GOD. I just found out that leaning forward on the bikes slightly will increase the speed you travel. Trying this on the jump in the junkyard got me safely to the gas station on my FIRST TRY. It's as if this game WANTS me to be enraged at it.

This has made my day lol.gif

I had troubles with Love missions. So f*cking annoying. Love On The Rocks was the most annoying one. What was the point of this? These guards were always teleporting behind me. I just never knew when someone was behind me and got killed.

Taking the Peace (Mission where you control Sindacco's car) and Bringing The House Down (Mission where you blow up Fort Stauton) were my favorite in the game. No problems at all.

Before playing VC, I didnt care about Panlantic Land Grab. I didn't know and didn't care who was Avery Carrington. I played VC and now I absolutely HATE this mission. Avery was awesome. But what is more annoying is these Cartel guys wik AK's shooting. This is not a big problem but what is seriously f*cked up is that this moron JUMPS OFF THE F*CKING BRIDGE and kills himself when I get the files from Avery.

Cash in Kazuki's Chips. Before I even damaged Kazuki, I got killed by the f*cker bashing me with Katana and two other motherf*ckers shooting me with M4.

Cash Clash. 3 armored vans going in different directions and a bunch of cops on my tail. All on a bike with almost no SMG ammo and for very little cash. Why can't we just destroy 2 vans and highjack the last one?

Now for the worst. RC races. I seriously almost smashed my PSP and UMD off the wall. This f*cking handling made me say out more profanities than any other character in the game combined. These RC cars are prone to flipping and I can't even move without these f*cking cars bashing me off the way losing my control and flipping the entire RC car losing my position.

PS: I know, I made a massive bump but I stayed on topic so that doesn't matter? Correct me if i'm wrong.

Oh yes how could I forget those damned RC races? I just try to avoid thinking about them at all times, that's probably why.

I've never gotten higher than third on the Portland one, and on the Shoreside one I got 2nd because everyone else was driving like a jack ass as well. Staunton's can go f*ck itself.

The goddam RC races. I failed the Belleville one 15 times before I knew the course out of my head and hoped the AI wouldn't do something stupid, I'd press the wrong button or a tree would have a hitbox larger than normal. I also hated the mission Crazy 69, it made no sense. Ray and Leon are talking about something, then the game tells you after the cutscene completely unrelated and non sene. Why the hell did I have to kill them with a goddam katana? Also, Love on the Rocks. Damn, I had to use lots of different strategies to steal the van.

RC races in Shoreside Vale were a piece of cake. I had no problems with them. In Portland I only completed the first race, other two were spinning out of control and crashing all the time. And the Stauton one, made my take out the UMD and throw it away. It was like dodging a bunch of tanks. Just like Darth_Starkiller said, the trees were like a tank. I didnt even touch the tree and I got spinned out like if I would hit a wall or an oncoming car. Same with the brigde in the park. I had to drive perfectly in the center so I wouldn't spin out of control.

Haha, as much as I disliked them, that would never happen with me. Who smashes there PSP up a wall nervous.gif

Anyway, bumps don't really matter in subforums with little activity (As said by Girish)

IT'S HAPPENING AGAIN.

The car salesman side mission is really screwing up my day. For most of the day I've been home, I've been trying to get to where Liberty City will get covered in snow, and you need to reach level 8, i believe, in the car salesman for this to happen.

AND IT'S NOT FUN AT ALL.

The first thing is that all of Liberty City needs to get hammered drunk whenever I start this mission because I can't even count the amount of times someone's pulled out ahead of me. The pedestrians are just as drunk too, normally they aren't a problem for me in this game, but lately all they want to do is dive RIGHT in from of my car!

The car where you have to drive slowly is fine. Couldn't be any less of a problem save for the drunken ass NPCs.

The car where you have to run over people is much more annoying. It can accelerate your wanted level really quick if you're not careful where you're driving. It doesn't help that for this one the amount of peds on the street feels drastically reduced just because you need them to win.

The car where you have to do tricks is a lot harder for me than it should be. I go right for the jump from the road in front of Sal's house that will jump you to the docks. I can never seem to get enough speed, because I always hit the fence, sending my car flying up down and all around eventually breaking it. That's the only jump I do so... really can't say too much more.

The car where you have to drive fast is the absolute worst. It's a lot easier when you take the road that stretches from the ferry all the way to the bridge, but when those drunk drivers come out, one hit and about 7/8ths of your meter is drained. It doesn't help that after that hit, only a few more will destroy the car. And there's a time limit that never stops even when you finalize the sale. This is especially annoying whenever you bang the thing up too much and have to fix it to finalize the sale... or when you need to change the color.

THAT IS WHY I'M MAKING THIS NOW. I WAS ON LEVEL 5, RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE AUTO SHOP WHEN I FILLED THE HAPPINESS METER, 7 SECONDS ON THE CLOCK WHEN THAT MOTHER f*ckER TOLD ME TO CHANGE THE COLOR.

I haven't gotten any closer than that. Nor will I ever probably. I can't believe the worst of LCS comes out when I play it.

I made it to snow once. When you have to run over peds, don't mind wanted level, in fact, try to get it as many times as possible. If you get 2 stars and then lose them, the meter will go up. Keep redoing it and you will have a complete sale very quickly.

One sh*t is that when I have to run over peds, the weather decided to f*cking rain and no peds come the f*ck out. I have to driveby every f*cking car I see so I can get cops.

This may be an issue to you but I personally do not have that issue with pedestrian spawning. Also, can you remind me, it doesn't take too long to get a wanted level from drive-by's, does it? (or am I thinking of another GTA?)
