I always wanted to see someone make Countryside north of Shore Side Vale, sorta like San Andreas. It could have a town, which also contains Ghostown.

I see your point.

So my guess is with out a trainer, helicopters are not assessable?

But I will tell you this. Roofs for roofless buildings still would need to be added otherwise the shadows won't look right. Shadows only cast from one side of the polygon. With out roofs, the shadow will have a hole. Hard to explain, but you will see what I mean. Lost Heaven Rage has this issue. Ether way, its still conceptually correct because you couldn't get there in GTA III with out glitches or modding.

Progress on shaders

I added shaders (normal and spec map) on roads and pavements. Here is some screenshots to show it.

Looks good. I'd say tone them down a little so the roads don't look wet on a sunny day.

I think its actually the Xbox textures like he said, but with the normal and spec maps, it kinda looks like IV. (Unless he is using normal and spec maps from IV.)

You are right. ManDog, it's xbox textures and bump/spec are also made on the xbox textures. This is not IV textures/bump/spec.

Looks good but I think I noticed one of the main problems that make it a bit ugly; the vegetation seems incredibly out of place (on RAGE, III is fine), but you're doing good with new models/textures. Some stuff is still shiny though, but it's MUCH better now, congrats.

Specular looks a lot better now. Also ligths are good, just wished you sticked to original IV carona.wtd.

The Original GTA3 one is the same size, so that could be used to if you wanted to make it look even more classic. tounge.gif

Plus classic could also mean using PS2/PC textures with PS2 radar icons.

I say that GTA 3 Rage SD would be better now that he is doing GTA 3 HD Rage but he doesn't want to confuse anyone, plus logo is made.

But if he does a pack on EFLC he can always call it GTA III Rage SD. It would be a more appealing thing in the start screen, and in the topic he can always say GTA III Rage SD, AKA GTA III Rage Classic.

It's like one of those things where a classic game is brought to a newer system, and they have the option to play with the old graphics or the new graphics. I've seen it on Xbox Live Arcade titles.

I dunno, I like it now where he's trying to get as much of the Xbox Map and Textures as possible, the vegitation is just the main thing changed here because I'm guessing no matter what version of GTA3 you use, the trees look like crap. tounge.gif

Exactly. I have to say it get away of the "only classic" but well, it look better and fit more on a modern engine. Glad you like it, I hope everybody will see the same. smile.gif

Also, a little information, DEMO should be released on May, not sure though. It will be for GTA IV 1.0.7.0 as standalone, not EFLC IV:SA.

If you don't mind me saying also, I think you've done this Twitter launch a bit wrong, again, all you give is one tweet asking people to follow you, WHY? Couldn't you have at least threw up a new screenshot of both mods to have as SOME sort of exclusive to those who view your twitter page and give something for people to re-tweet?

the mod is not working its loading but then it says gta iv is not reposning blah blah

Did you installed it on GTA IV 1.0.7.0 ? The mod is not compatible with all others versions.
