Hi, did "export to open format" with one of the vehicles from GTA TLAD and when i am tryngo to import it to my 3dsmax i get this:

It'll have models and collisions export(may be, not only them - IDK yet).

About "Wrong resource version" error:

 

OpenIV was updated, but Evo wasn't. That's why that happens.

You can open .mesh files with notepad and change line:
Version 11 13
to:
Version 11 12

My best guess would be because OpenIV changed the OFT format. Use OFIO instead.

i did that the same day i write the message but in OFIO all comes by piece, i dont want to modify i just want to take props and put it as stream object, how can i do ?

I don't think you can. I think the fastest way would be to select all the pieces, go to the Utilities tab > Collapse > Collapse Selected. That way you don't have to go through editable polt and manually attach.

 

This is one of the many reasons why gta4 map modding is sh*t, not being able to easily acces props.

Hey guys, I am a beginner modder trying to learn modeling.

I downloaded open IV and GISM Evo.

But there is a problem in running the scpript.

it says "Failed to download the Shared core"

What to do?? :panic:

 

Use 'standard' GIMS or OFIO, check the tools section for the right topics.

OFIO max scripts supports exporting to .oft/.wtf in 3dsmax ;)

As i used mainly your tool, please dont change it for V, just detailled it as you can but keep the same hierarchy and dummies etc..

 

to be honest with you i just used GIMS IV not EVO, am not familiar...

 

But if you work on it, i will have to use it...

 

Please make plugins for 3ds max 2011/12

why there is no link nowhere . i used to use GIMS but i was going to give this a try and see if it makes maps making easier

Well, I finally managed to figure it out: it's because I've got a 144Hz monitor. When I set the refresh rate to 60Hz, it works fine. So not the end of the world, but still slightly annoying.

This project's discontinued, use old GIMS IV please.
