With all the info we have on GTA V and RDR which is a masterpiece from R*, which game will be winning? The graphics are all awesome in the three games! But the problem i had in GTA IV was a pixel like shadow, when it rains everything looks like Black and White and many bugs. I got RDR on my b'day this year(Jan 22) and the graphics amazed me! At start of GTA IV i kinda felt awesome but after that GTA IV was soooo boring. Hope GTA V wont be like GTA IV. I had downloaded GTA V Trailer #1 and #2 then copied and pasted it in my PS3. The graphics of GTA V were MORE THAN AWESOME!!! But sometimes i kinda felt that RDR and GTA V are having the graphics a bit same...anyway post your thoughts about the games smile.gif

Cant compare red dead to gta. But i do believe gta v to be an improvement to r* past games. According to the story though, itd be hard to beat red dead redemption. Still cannot compare red dead redemption to grand thrft auto v

It's really difficult to judge GTA V since obviously none of us have played it. tounge.gif

Anyway I have no doubt it'll respresent the best evolution yet. GTA IV isn't even as refined as RDR so GTA V should be the best yet in terms of that.

However there are other things to consider such as atmosphere, tone etc. I know alot of people don't like the dark and gritty tone of GTA IV, but I do. I even find it slightly more appealing than RDR as a Western.

I need to play GTA V so I can make up my mind whether I like the sunny LS/Calfornia tone or still prefer the dark/NYC one.

Well seeing that GTA V is RDR and GTA IV combined, and maybe throw in GTA SA in there as well I think that GTA V might win

do you guys think GTA V will have more side missions then GTA IV

gta 4 only had:

liberty city most wanted (police)
exotic car theft (brucie)
car theft
assassin
races (9)
Little Jacob- Delivery Mission
Roman Taxi missions

excluding minigames

this is about all for gta 4 (excluding the episodes)

will gta v have more then that

Red Dead. GTA V's story-line cannot compare. But Grand Theft Auto V is a combination of their previous games so of course it's going to sell more and have much more to do in it than RDR.

Since Rockstar probably takes the best from GTA IV and RDR and improves it and makes it better and larger, I think that GTA V wins. But if I were to compare story, then I would say that RDR won.

The comparison is invalid; it all ultimately boils down to personal opinions.

GTA IV was Rockstar's first open-world HD game of this console generation. So, from a a pure technical standpoint, GTA IV automatically becomes inferior to RDR since the latter is the newer, updated open-world game on R.A.G.E. But that doesn't mean that to some, GTA IV is inferior in quality or quantity; to others the opposite is the case. The "theme ( Western in RDR's case) " plays a big part in the side they choose to be with, too.

But since GTA V is more than likely, Rockstar's last open-world game, or even their last game, it will be manyfolds better than both games combined from a technical standpoint ( They've even stated that GTAV builds on everything they've learned from open-world designing ).

With that said, to some, as with the case of RDR, GTAV might not be as much as goof as the previous sanbox games on R.A.G.E by R*; but I guess they'd be in the minority,

OP's signature represents my thoughts about this topic and poll.. what is the f*cking point in voting if GTA V hasn't even released yet? And you possibly can't be serious about the graphics comparison with the trailer..

You really can't put Gta V in this poll. To make a valid comparison you should have played all the games for a lot of hours, completed them, continued playing. After having spent months on all the games, you could answerthis question: "If you are forced to keep just one out of these games, wich one would you keep?".

I'd personally keep RDR and toss GTA IV without the slightly hesitation. But how could we say anything about V?

IMO:
Story = RDR (V WILL NOT BEAT THAT STORY)
Graphics = GTA V
Realism = RDR
Gameplay/Fun factor = I would say GTA V, but I don't know; RDR was a BIG step up from IV in terms of gameplay, fluidity and mission quality
Activities = Probably GTA V

It depends on what type of setting you want to play in. RDR is my all time favorite game and I think it blew GTA IV, TLAD & TBOGT out of the water. I even liked it better than Skyrim - which I played 150 hrs+ on PC - and I LOVED Skyrim! tounge.gif Everything except the fist fighting and lack of swimming ability was absolutely amazing in RDR.

I made a similiar (but with more sense because it hadn't GTA V in the poll) topic a while ago and it got deleted.

RDR is one of my favorite games over time. That said, I expect V to be on a level above that. By now they should be using that engine to its fullest, and it's in the best possible city to have a GTA.

i voted V cause i'm assuming they will improve on the overall of the game. Now if you want my honest opinion i have no idea since i haven't played GTA V yet. RDR is pretty awesome if you ask me.
