Andy Serkis and Max Von Sydow.  Those names make me happy.

I wonder if Serkis is going to be on screen, or be used based on his resume of motion capture/voice acting.

Peter Mayhew? Man, I don't know about that. He was at the inaugural San Antonio Comic-Con last year and he was in a wheelchair. How is he supposed to play Chewbacca again?

Andy Serkis!

Holy cr*p, LotR and Star Wars coming together. This made my inner 10 year old cry tears of joy.

the GF is making me watch Girls with her, and I owe it to Adam Driver only that this is bearable, so I'll be glad to see him in one of my kind of movies ;)

Where is Billy Dee Williams who played Calrissian? He's also a classic character/actor. I'm just happy Ford, Hamill and Fisher are back, I love the original cast.

This movie is either going to be a flop or a masterpiece.

I honestly cannot wait.

Apparently shooting has begun today (production team tweeting out a picture). Similarly, reports suggest the movie is titled 'Empire of The Jedi'. I don't know how credible the source is, just something I read on Imdb.

With Jar Jar Abrams in charge it wouldn't surprise me if it were indeed that f*ckin' stupid.

Are you guys actually complaining about the titles of these movies?

Nothing is as bad as 'Attack of the Clones'. I remember when it was announced, I didn't believe that was the title. Not until the trailer, did I fully accept it.

One of the greatest lines in the history of cinema. George Lucas is truly a genius writer.

I think Nipperkins was being sarcastic.

George Lucas is not a genius writer but this fact only became painfully obvious after he was given full creative control over the 3 prequels.

when Lucas was directing the original 3 Star Wars he had a lot of input from a lot of other people.

he was a noobie. he couldn't do whatever he wanted and his team was keeping him in check; trying to work towards the best possible product they could produce.

but now he's George F*cking Lucas so no one questioned or challenged him during the direction and filming of the prequel movies.

and that's why they turned out the laughing stock of garbage that they are; chock full of terrible one-liners, weak dialogue, poor character development, and fragmented plot holes.

Revenge of The Sith is a really enjoyable movie if you don't take yourself or the movie too seriously. Everyone knows the prequels don't hold a candle to the originals, I think it's time we moved on and stopped spouting the same thing everytime someone mentions the prequels. I can't appreciate the movie in terms of an artform, but I can enjoy it. The end fight scene in Revenge of The Sith is awesome lightsaber porn and the cheesy and over dramatized back and forth between Anakin and Obi-wan is hilarious.

To tell the truth i liked the prequels, especially the final transformation to Darth Vader,

I know the writing and direction was not top notch, but at the end they were not bad movies.

I don't understand why everyone hates the prequels, they weren't bad at all.

Was it boring ? that's my question. If it was not then the movie isn't that bad.

J J is going to make a movie which is going to mildly touching Star Wars and entertain the common audience and will be mildly mediocre with mediocre comedy, bikini scene, nothing more, Nothing less.

And lots of f*cking lens flares ha ha ha

Only difference between Lucas and J J is that J J will take lots of uneven closeups of people and the spaceships..

JJ Abrams is not Kubrick, but he's still 100x better than George Lucas.

I agree there now, as i just visited George Lucas's IMDB page.

This is all the movies he done in directing:

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith
Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones
Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace
Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope
   American Graffiti
   THX 1138

He never deviated from what he done previously, and he failed there too... man i was so wrong..

You can hate on the prequels all you want, but the fight scene toward the end of III was f*cking epic.

It was some nice CGI porn. Everything else besides that was sh*t. The fight scene between Vader and Obi-Wan in A New Hope was better.

My worry with Abrams at the helm is that he will make a non-stop action movie like he did with Into Darkness, where every other scene was an excuse for the theme to start playing and for things to be blowing up with or without reason. Star Trek may have had lens flares but at least it slowed down.

@ The Prequels: It's true when I was 15 and hadn't looked into the criticisms I didn't have a problem with them. I'd quote lines from the films with my family and we'd quiz each other on trivia. Then Episode III came out. The intro scene was amazing and then most of the rest of the movie happened, and then Order 66, and then I feel asleep about an hour into the final lightsaber battle.

Basically redlettermedia. If you want to understand what is wrong with the prequels (or at least what others say is wrong) and aren't a spaz that can't sit still for a few hours then check out the videos.

There's no question about it, the prequels have some of the worst acting I've ever seen in any movie (especially Hayden's Anakin and those romantic scenes on Naboo. I mean, that whole scene at the dinner table where he uses the force to slice an "apple" and feed it to Padme was absolutely cringeworthy, though not as bad as the dialogue throughout those bits), BUT, I still love the movies and I think they are all awesome. Of course not as great as the original trilogy (except for the lovely CGI lol), but still awesome.

And btw, I think Abrams is gonna make an excellent new Star Wars, and I can't wait. He is one of my favourite directors, and I don't think he will screw up.

Miss Yoda though, I will :( . Though I guess he could return as a Force ghost maybe, like at the end of EPVI.

It was the dialogue that made the Vader/old Ben fight so good.
The best light sabre battle was the End of episode I.

I've said it once, I have faith in Abrams. He wasn't a giant Star Trek fan as a kid, but he was a giant Star Wars fan, as was every kid his age.

The fight at the end of Episode 3 would have been magnificiently better if the film's story was told better, was acted better and had a better dialogue. The fight itself was so awesome, it showed you how trained these Jedi/Sith really are. Plus the ending of Vader was funny, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO".

I really enjoyed Episode III.  Much much better than the other two prequels, and in my opinion second only to Empire in enjoyment.

Hope JJ does a good job with Episode 7. I know he done justice to Start Trek, and I've always hated those movies, his one was f*cking awesome! But this is a much heftier project. George Lucas left him a ticking bomb inside a package and it's upto him to stop it and finally make a really good Star Wars in terms of storyline, acting and DIALOGUE. Action is what I'm definitely expecting to be top notch with JJ.
