What is your connection speed?

speedtest.net

I got an A- but I think that's ridiculous considering my internet isn't extremely fast.

Try a few times at different times of the day, your ISP throttles you at some points.
This time I got this, sometimes I get up to 10 MBps download, upload is still sh*t as hell though.

Narcis, you've got super interwebz.

Anyway, this is mine from a couple of seconds ago, it's usually really crappy at night, don't know what it's like in the morning, I'll check and edit tomorrow tounge.gif

Pretty good right now, it's usually slower though.

Yup, usually slower like I said. It seems to be slowest from now until about 18:00, probably because of businesses and whatnot. Really picks up at midnight though sigh.gif .

I pay for 25/5Mbps, so these numbers are right on par, over double in expected upload speed.
I am also two rooms away in the apartment from the wireless router and have Netflix running during the test. It's holding up well.

I'd drop kick a kitten for Google Fiber.

Upload speed is crap; download speed isn't too bad. I am on a wireless connection though.

Meant to be getting 48Mb down but when you've been on 1Mb for the last 7 years, it's acceptable. Speed is all over the place at the moment and sometimes says I'm in a different county.

Depends on the speed of your LAN. Normal ethernet cable (Cat5e) is 100Mb/s but Cat6 supports 1000Mb/s aka 1Gb/s. If you were getting 100Mb+ on your broadband connection you need a Gigabit connection on your router and device other wise you would be limited to 100Mb/s. I think

Well the internet package i have has 100mb max anyways, so it doesnt matter if i have the normal ethernet cable or the one that i dont' have and dont really need which is the Cat6 cable.

I'm probably the weakest link, 1 mb/s download speed is a lie. Lol. I can only download at 130 kb/s (at max).

EDIT: Another test. Another lie. Lol.
