3DS Max wdd/odd orientation and scale

In max my model is correct scale and orientation. In game (and OIV) it appears about five times bigger and upside down.
I've tried to rotate the pivot with 'affect pivot only' function, but it doesn't change. I've also tried to 'reset scale' function.
I have encountered this problem before, years ago, while importing models to other games. I just can't remember how to rectify, it's been too long.
