I don't think Claude killed Maria.

Think about it. For the entire duration of the game, Claude does things because other people want him to. He never kills anyone because he himself wants to, only because other people want him to (except for Catalina obviously).

So why would he kill Maria, when he has absolutely no reason to? If he really thought she was annoying, he could have killed her long before that, since he had plenty of opportunities to. But nobody wants her dead, and Claude obviously doesn't care, so why bother turning her into a corpse and possibly getting in trouble with the law?
