Sorry, but Liberty city wasn't present in Vice city game only if you call small part of Saint Mark's Bistro Liberty city...BTW I liked IV's most. Such a detailed city wasn't in GTA before, even now after years of playing I'm still amazed by the level of detail in IV LC. BTW what's up with this "2005 GTA IV LC" and "2004 GTA CHTW"? dontgetit.gif

Oh god, im sorry there have been some mistakes with poll answers. Vc not meant to be there. Also its CTW and GTA IV must be 2008 and 2009 respectively.

GTA IV (+DLC) means IV and it's downloadable content. Why didnt you get that? Also there is no "CHTW" its "CTW" as in Chinatown Wars.

I'll go with III's LC. Partly because every corner of that map felt different and unique. I've played IV for almost five years and still have a hard time telling some streets apart.

GTA IV's is better. A well-detailed parody version of NYC is not that hard to learn on.

I voted future. In the future R* will have more powerful technology that they can use to create a city so detailed that even MiamiViceCity might like it better than GTA IV's Liberty City. That is as long as it has an awesome storyline and a character like borat...I mean Niko. tounge.gif

Did they? When did they say that?

For me it's between III and LCS. It is hard to judge of the city in Top-down - as it's a whole another level. And GTA IV didn't amaze me. It didn't have that 'feel' of the city that was created in the III era. So I choose III's LC.

But anyway, all renditions are great in their own ways, I guess. And that was what I voted for.

I also voted for that.

GTA III and LCS are the same (also GTA SA's minus the snow), they are nostalgic, and iconic,
Grand Theft Autos is even more nostalgic, I guess it's also iconic, not as much III's, I guess.
GTA Advance's is very fun, don't know much to say... I Don't play GTA:A that much.
GTA IV's is the most detailed, has the biggest New York feel....
Every rendition developed it's own, unique feel, at least for me.

This is exactly what I felt. GTA III's LC felt right for me and although I liked GTA IV's LC it didn't feel the same as playing in good old GTA III's LC.

So I voted Grand Theft Auto III. LCS is pretty much the same but I prefer the Porter Tunnel to the Ferrys

Obviously GTA IV.

Sure, i love the GTA 3 and LCS versions. I grew up with that city actually, due to playing those 2 games non stop. I know that city better then my own. tounge2.gif

I'd have gone for a mix of Advance and III ones - with all the extra streets in Portland, but containing hills and other stuff from III that wasn't there in Advance

Even though I have barely played IV on a friend's PS3 and III has a lot of nostalgic value for me, I will have to go with IV. In many ways I see IV as the new GTA III and if I had played it more IV would have been my favorite GTA, but that will most likely happen soon.

All of them are good in there own ways, GTA 4's and GTA 3's Liberty City's were aiming for two completely different thing. They're not really comparable in my opinion. smile.gif

I loved IV's LC rendition. It had a lot of space and it was way bigger than III's LC. IV had so much space that it took me a while to get from 1 city to another plus it had a lot of pedestrians and cars whilst III hadn't had that many pedestrians and cars roaming around.

I know. It's unfair to compare GTA III's LC to such a living and breathing masterpiece that is GTA IV's LC. ph34r.gif tounge.gif

Hehe. Well it did have almost a decade on GTA 3. I feel more attached to GTA 3's rendition though, I know it off by heart. There's places in GTA 4 I still get lost (especially central Alderney). But I suppose the good thing about that is it keeps the game fresh, I'm always finding new spots to do rampages. biggrin.gif

In all honesty there's nothing with the GTA III rendition. I love Portland. In particular The Red Light District. smile.gif

I reckon it was awesome as well, I love just cruising through Hepburn Heights in a sh*tty Perennial or something like that. Shoreside Vale had a lot if potential but they f*cked it up with the street layout in Witchita Gardens big time. What were they thinking!?! tounge.gif

Definitely III. It's the original masterpiece. I was disappointed with IV, nothing at all was brought back.
