Nothing really new on the game, but a newly published article and interview from Australia. Although, it's more of a mainstream article that talks about the history of GTA than it is about GTAV:

http://www.bordermai...eft-auto/?cs=36

Most interesting GTAV related part I could find was that Dan called Trevor "the most psychopathic in GTA history".

EDIT:
Just wanted to mention something about this part in the article:
QUOTE
The new sequel is due out early next year and Houser calls its central protagonist, Trevor, "the most psychopathic in GTA history".

I confirmed with someone at Rockstar that the part about Trevor being the "central protagonist" is indeed inaccurate.

While it should have been obvious to a lot of you, it's good to have official confirmation on it.

Tbh i think these people just don't know what they're talking about.

If you read the entire article, it's really just a background story for the Housers/Rockstar. They don't go into detail about GTA V. I think they are just making assumptions.

Just read the entire thing and you're right. It sounds like every other article. "First they did GTA 1 and 2 and then made 3 masterpieces. But wait, then came IV a more realistic take! Now comes V and the sprawling city of LS". dozingoff.gif

I'm sure the Trevor "central protagonist" thing is just a big mistake on the writer's part. For instance, he didn't even mention multiple playable characters...

"The new sequel, GTA V, adds further layers, presenting three characters living in Los Santos - a fictional version of LA and a game world bigger than all its GTA forerunners combined - for the player to control. There's Michael, a retired mobster; Trevor, a psychopathic drug dealer; and Franklin, a young black man who works as muscle for a group of Armenian gangsters."

I got you, Adriaan. monocle.gif

Nice one.

Still, you'd think something so important would have come off in the other previews/interviews that were PACKED full of GTAV content. We shouldn't read too much into that quote from the author on Trevor being the central character...

As poorly written as this is it was still a decent read, but of course, had really nothing new/entertaining to back it up. Then again, I'm no journalist, so quite really, what do I know? tounge.gif

Nonetheless, nice share, Adriaan.

It's Dan's central protagonist, he likes him the most, not the game's central protagonist. The kidnapping part is interesting, I don't remember everything in the GI article but did we know about that?

Imo the most interesting part is
QUOTE
"The job is to present action," says Houser. "Everything else is on top of that. Your first job is to make the game fun."
Hopefully this means none of that GTA IV melodrama that compromises what I want in a gaming experience, not a medium of emotional expression. Thanks.

Yeah that's an official marketing asset released prior to GTAIV's release.

They said the trailer countdown appeared on November 2 of last year. Thats false. The trailer came out on that date but the countdown was released on October 25 or 26.

"Built around the software framework of GTA III, two successful sequels were released. In 2002 came GTA: Vice City, a neon-tinted story of cocaine-fuelled madness in Miami, and, in 2004, GTA: San Andreas, set in the gang neighbourhoods of Los Angeles and parts of southern California."

Maybe some parts of San Andreas will return.. look at this part: "parts of southern California"
What do you mean ? Gta V is also set in southern California.. smile.gif

Ehm. Well, yeah, the Los Santos/Los Angeles area...

San Fierro is based on San Francisco, which is set in Northern California. And the desert area is based on Nevada.

Hmm that part about kidnapping someone seems like it just shouldn't have been there. It sounds and looks like it would be a rather important mission in the story-line so to just give it away like that just doesn't seem right. notify.gif

The kidnapping mission is the one all of the recent previews were about..

The one where they fly to the building, franklin snipes, michael repels.. that was the same kidnapping mission talked about here.

Nothing new..
