i had this problem cuz i have 8 core cpu. There is 2 solution for that if that is the problem. First is u can change affinity to use only 1 core for gta_sa.exe. Second is put dinput8.dll to main folder where is gta_sa.exe. I use the second solution.

\\ What is "Grand Theft Auto United 1.2"?

Grand Theft Auto United is a modification based on 'GTA San Andreas' for PC. The purpose of this modification is to unite in only one game the gaming areas, the so-called 'maps', of the two GTA games 'GTA III' and 'GTA Vice City', based on the graphics and physics engine of 'GTA San Andreas'. The map of 'GTA San Andreas' gets therefore replaced. 'GTA United' is exclusive for the two GTA fansites [ www.gtainside.com ] as well as [ www.gta-worldmods.de ] and is only allowed to be hosted on these sites. Furthermore, GTA United is non-commercial, the development team does not make money with the modification, but develop this free for everyone to access on GTAinside and gta-worldmods. Of course we can not publish version 1.2 of our modification without to publish any kind of special visualization. After ATP could introduce in March of last year with this video (alternative: Vimeo) some of our new content, he now has made with the finished version a fantastic new and official Release Trailer for GTA United 1.2!   • To install GTA United 1.2 please use a 100% clean, unmodded version of GTA San Andreas.
  • The map of GTA San Andreas will be replaced with this modification, is thus no longer accessible after installing GTA United 1.2. For this reason, we strongly recommend you to make a copy of GTA San Andreas beforehand! You will be prompted for that by the installation routine aswell.

Fun. This word can describe many things, if we as a team look back on our work, our little world, which is both so familiar and yet it never existed in such a form before. From an initially fresh idea, to bring the individual maps of Vice City and Liberty City to San Andreas, to the present day, where we can present what is more than just the sum of the previous items - it was a long road we had to go, there were to overcome many obstacles and all sorts of problems had to be solved. And yet we here and today agree that this way has been worth it, to be followed, always with the goal in mind to create something that meets the intent of each game and each modification: to spread fun and joy. A game which pursues this goal, must combine many aspects in itself, it must offer besides technical aspects such as stability and efficiency also freedom to interact with the content of a game, or in other words, diversity is one of the most important aspects of a game. And this was always our intention, what we wanted to achieve with version 1.2. So now finally it is like this, the day of the release has come! We - the entire team of GTA United and all those who have supported us - wish you all a lot of fun with our new modification "Grand Theft Auto United 1.2".

Hey GTA United Team, I have two problems, right now. First look at this pic:

1) Look at the top of the pic. It happened because I installed GTA 4 Hud, and that's probably why the radio icons became white squares. Now since I can't wait until the next release, can anyone PLEASE tell me where I can get the file or how I can disable it?

2) Now look at the bottom of the pic. You see the off-white "seabed-like" texture, which does not match with the seabed of Liberty City/Vice City. Again, since I can't wait for the next release, Can anyone of the GTA United teamMembers give me the name of the texture?

It will be really appreciated if you accept my requests. cool.gif

Since I've added more peds I've been changing the pedgrp.dat file. I've learned that the LS lines are the only ones being used except for at Francis Int'l Airport the SF lines are used. confused.gif Is there a way to make more zones utilize the SF lines or even the LV lines, or is that controlled by the exe?

From what I've read you can only have 21 peds on each line, and at this point I've maxed out all the lines (with no dups), so even if I add more peds they won't show up since they can't be added to the pedgrp.dat file.

could you please make that CLEO and ENB series would work ? ;x it worked on 0.3b version ,and it would be so much cooler and better to have cleo and enb in gta united <3

My GTA United 1.2 crashes at startup. I used a clean installation and tried to delete models folder from the original GTA:SA,but still doesn't work confused.gif
Any ideas?

Try right clik on gta_sa.exe and open properties, then on tab compatibility tic on "execute this program as compatibility mode for" and select win 7 or XP SP3 it should works

I counted 305 total character lines in the original peds.ide, including player, special actors, cops, gangs, and peds, yet the original gta_sa.exe and salimits.sala says there are 310.

I only noticed since I was adding peds and lost track of the number along the way, so I did a count with my added peds, and it was off.

PS. Just letting you know I'm not trying to point fault at this mod (after all, it runs completely crash free for me), because I absolutely love this mod with the base jumps,
radio stations, missions, and extra cars and peds. I'm only letting you know in case you intend to make a new update.

Amazing, I really love this mod and I am really looking forward to the final release. Guys, please finish this mod to bits.

Now the game is stable and map is more or less done, what are you concentrating on now? smile.gif

GTA United 1.2 was the last thing I worked on related to GTA in general, I am now concentrating on my studies (physics); and that is practically the most exhausting thing I did in my life unitl now. After version 1.2, where we invested years of work into, we didn't say that there definitely will be a new version, we said, there might be one - if ATP would still find the time, motivation and general interest for it. I haven't spoken to him in the last time, but seeing as he obviously aswell took a break from GTA in general, I would say, that you guys should suppose version 1.2 was the definite final version of GTA United (at least until ATP says something different).

That is all I have to say here. I enjoyed working on this, I think we did a damn great job and many people told us that they liked, what we did. We were and are really glad it turned out the way it did and we are very grateful aswell. What's now left is, that we should remain this modification in our minds as it is, enjoy it and .. please start understand this. Life goes on, so do ours. I wish you all the best guys. Keep enjoy GTA United 1.2.

I enjoy playing this TC all the time. Alot of bugs like every TC but i really enjoy !
Just one regret, no ferry between LC and VC.
Anyway, United or Anderius my heart is swinging !

This mod is one of best mods. But...

That what is missing in this mode, the gang war, a yacht (san vice) and more mission-like (san vice).

I hope there will be some updates in the future.

Farewell mate, This was one of the greatest mods to ever be released... not just because it creates nostalgia, but due to all the hard work that went into it. you guys deserve so much more time in the spotlight than what you were given.

PS: Here is my current stats:

And I'm stuck!!! I can't find other missions. I passed first 2 missions, all submissions (taxi, police, ambulance), passed 8 of 10 missions Like a Bird, passed some courier missions, missions on PCJ and BMX, passed all races, bought all houses... Pls help! Where to find other missions?
