Simple - don't allow accounts with post number lower than 50 posts to create threads.

I said it some months ago, a lot of members register to post their ideas or are just spammers - yeah - but think of the members who register to open a topic to discuss something new or maybe they need help. You can't just punish the whole GTAForums' sections (because new members also open topics because they need help with a GTA Game or with modding, and it's impossible to know which member will join the GTA V and which will join the other) only because of the GTA V mess - that's what GTA V led-bys + the other staff are there for - to clean the mess up. If new members wouldn't be able to create new topics when they register, and only after a period of time, they'll either high-jack other topics.

You're not the only one who suggests this thing, and if something was to be done, it'd have already have been done by now, but the only thing that can be done is to clear every single piece of mess. That's how I see things anyway.

This wouldn't solve the problem because people who spam the forum will spam anyway and if 50 posts are required to make a new topic then people would spam up all the topics to reach the 50 posts goal and then post the new topic. Well, not all newcomers are spammers so that's the reason why the forum doesn't have a system like the one you suggest. If you see someone who spams topics or create spam-topics, or someone who is offensive, or any other offences then simply report it with the report-button, right under the related post.
