Xbox One Myths Debunked
It's on OXM meaning it's devoid of unbiased and objective "debunking" and does nothing but reiterate Microsoft's piss poor PR thus far.
It doesn't justify why Kinect must be mandatory for everyone regardless if it's in standby or not. It may be required for games I hear? What if I have no interest in playing those games? Why would I still be forced to spend 100 USD more than the competition for an accessory I simply do not want? There's no justification whatsoever.
Let me guess, Microsoft will try to say that certain exclusives may make use of Kinect and if it weren't mandatory, then they couldn't make use of it. So Microsoft now wants to impose ideas on how we should interact with those games? Here's a thought - what about disabled people who might have limited mobility and can only use a controller? Microsoft clearly has no problem giving out a big "f*ck you" to those with poor/no internet connections, so I suppose they wouldn't have any issues saying the same to the disabled either.
This whole console looks to have been very poorly planned and the abominable PR behind it reflects that. If they had clear intentions, then they would have stepped up at E3 and spelled things out. Instead they've acted about as shady and ambiguous as possible. 'Hurr durr futuar of gaming dats why durrrr" isn't a valid justification for any of this.
