I'll be buying the PS4 and the next Xbox. Why? because I don't want to miss out this time around on good exclusives. Especially since Final Fantasy Versus XIII will most likely be a launch title (I'm hoping) and is said to be a sony exclusive, unless they change their minds and put it on the next Xbox as well.

Hmmm... Xbox Infinity. Seems legit.

Would sound better if it were called the Infinite, not Infinity.

One wouldnt think that it needs to be said, but let it be said anyway that this is a pointed work of fiction; there is no source, and all of these details are obviously fabricated. Now go read some more rumors.

This was just the first step in what has apparently been a collaboration long in the making. In a secret deal, Microsoft has acquired the technology behind the Easy-Bake Oven from Hasbro. Not only will you be able to order pizza from your Box, youll have it delivered from your Box.

My mates mates dads dogs brothers cousins uncles sisters best mates boyfriend works at Microsoft and he let me in on a little secret industry fact, the pizza idea had been tried and tested already on the 360 and works perfectly. You order the pizza in the app, once you have picked what toppings you want, the slice pops out the top like a toaster. He sent me a photo. What you are about to see is genuine and is 100% classified.

Sounds more like a project/aim they're going for with the next console, rather than the console name itself, if you get me? The way technology is these days, sounds like they're aiming for something innovative and major with this new console, rather than just a console for gaming or what have you.

You completely lost me at Cross Platform gaming between PC and Xbox (and Windows 8 on a console).

Pretty damn sure it's not legit at all and that's a total lie. If they seriously would do such a thing it wouldn't be for the better of it (continued rape of PC as a gaming/entertainment platform, Xbox live and related matter being shoved down everyone's throat...).

I did know it was bullsh*t, I'm not an idiot. As soon as the PS4 specs were announced you could tell from a mile away they Next Gen Xbox's were going to be similar, but it wouldn't hurt the Xbox if it had 16 gigs, except in the price of course.

16gb isn't that much, you can get 2 8gb sticks on for under $100 on ebay/newegg. Which won't affect the price of the console, if it is 16gb. Don't see why they wouldn't add it anyways

The thought of an 'Always Online' console makes me cringe. I was playing most of my time on my xbox without a internet connection and never played on Xbox Live for the original xbox. I think taking away the ability to play a game without a steady connection would just lose touch with having individual enjoyment and not having to worry about another bill to pay just to play a console built to play video games especially considering we will be paying 400-600 bucks for a console itself. Granted I have internet connection now, I know how it is when you cannot have one.

People went haywire over this always-on Xbox. They didn't wait to hear facts. Personally, I never believed it to be true. It just didn't make sense.

There is a hell lot of difference between PC RAM (DDR3) and Next Box RAM (DDR4/GDDR5).
And I don't think they'll implement that much RAM, it'll be 8-12GB dependant on the SKU.

I consider myself quite knowledgeable when it comes to modern day technology. Computers, Gadgets, Software ETC.
But reading threw some of these posts, i feel like a learner blush.gif Can really spot the people who have built, or take interest in custom built PC's and performance hardware.

I feel like such a little console fanboy, who just wants Microsoft to make it all look pretty on the screen without me worrying about a thing lol.gif

Pc GPU's use GDDR5, regular memory is usually just DDR3 though.

Does anyone know how the Nextbox is going to work though? Is it using an APU with unified memory like the PS4?

if the rumors are true about the fact that the nexbox will be running windows 8 then i don't see the point of getting it since its more or less a mini pc

That is a dramatic oversimplification of things. It was said to be running a 'core version' of Windows 8. It will probably just share the kernel with Windows 8. It will probably still have its own operating system which means it won't just be a 'mini PC.' You won't be able to just run games from it on PC in the same way you can't just run Mac OS games on a Windows PC.
