GTA V TimeCyc For San Andreas (Kinda)

DOWNLOAD:
Link

I've decided to take on the task of recreating the timecyc from GTA V and creating a new timecyc for San Andreas (the original colors in SA sucked). It isn't going to look exactly like the screenshots, since it's being modified, and also, the timecyc will also be modified a little to resemble that of Los Angeles.

The ONLY thing that will be available from the screens is the timecyc, purely made by me. I know there are other mods in some of the screens, but these will NOT be released (find them yourself). Only the timecyc! This is WIP, so it may change over time.

That's a very pink sky at 8pm, maybe a little more blue in there would be good tounge.gif
Other than that, looks good, looking forward to a release :]

If you're going for a GTA 5 screenshot look, you'll want to use colors with lower saturation, especially for that third pic. The sky colors in the screenshots are not close to being that vivid. Look at some of the screenshots again (such as this one) and try matching that shade of blue.

Obviously V will be using a completely different time cycle system, so it's impossible to accurately re-create the same appearance, but having the entire sky pink/orange looks odd too. 8PM would look better with a blue sky and an orange/yellow lower sky.

Once again, this is WIP, and I am considering trying to lower saturation to get a better look.

Also, yes, I know that V will use a completely different timecyc system, but as I said, it's based on it, and also I'm using a little of real life LA. Thanks for comments and suggestions smile.gif .

Are you using Fastman92's In-Game Timecyc Editor?

I'm not, though I'm considering using it since it's more easier to make changes rather than editing the timecyc and seeing how it turns out.

OK, here's another progress pic (EXTRASUNNYLA, 12PM). Made the colors less saturated to fit the Echo Park theme.

Looking good so far, but it might be harder to create it in GTA SA. You should try to recreate it in GTA IV. I know IV is LC, but it would be more usefull for GTA IV: San Andreas.

Is it too difficult to install?
Actually it's very easy.
Install CLEO3 or CLEO4.

And download latest version In-game Timecyc Editor 1.8.
Copy ALL! files from put_to_root_of_GTASA to GTA San Andreas directory.

That's all.

Run the game.
Go to the place where you want to see the changes.
Enter "TIMECYC" using keyboard.
Simple UI will appear
To configure options you have to click left on mouse or press left Ctrl, sumarizing: left mouse click OR left Ctrl
Rotate camera using key defined in configuration .ini ( \ slash by default)
Enter "TIMECYC" again to quit timecyc editor

And that voting button on palette is working - if it's enabled value of color will be maximized to 100% when user clicks to select color on palette, else (if disabled) value of color won't be modified, only hue and saturation.

I've worked on the timecyc a bit more, and I'm pretty much done with Los Santos. I'm working on countryside, and I believe I'll recreate SF and LV from scratch.

Don't pay any attention to that guy.
He is the most biggest asshole on this forum and he deserves that medail.

The timecyc looks nice.
It's a good idea to open a GTAV screenshot with Paint and use the pipet, go to top sky or bottom sky,
click on it and use the RGB color and use them for GTA SA to match the GTAV weather..

Basically, a bump post.

Ok, sorry for the delay guys, I haven't had much time to work on this, and I've had to adjust it, etc. However, I thought I should release it at this point.

I'm liking these screenshots. This combined with SA::Render will look amazing.
It's been about a year. Think you can release the latest update timecyc.dat?
