I see a lot of threads that don't encourage discussion, or threads with misleading titles, i.e. troll threads. An easy solution to this would be to;
  • Add a 24-hour timer before you can start creating threads on new accounts
  • Allow only one thread per day to be created

And also: If you happen to stumble upon a troll thread - don't post in it. By posting in it you keep it alive and at the top of the thread list, which increases the risk of others stumbling upon it.
Simply click the "Report post" button on the bottom right hand side of the post and move along.

Sincerely,
PUSClFER

As if this is so simple. The other day here there was a topic that contained a porn image in the OP. No mod/admin/forum leader was online and the topic reached 4 pages or so and half of the comments were similar to "don't post in that topic or it will get back to the top of the forum." The topic was already at the bottom and people bumped it over and over with these "don't bump it" comments. So now you can imagine that there are always people who will post in spam threads. I think the GTA V section is the only section that has problems like this. It's nothing new because that always happends here when a new Grand Theft Auto is around the corner. You've to assume that all changes that would be made as for example the two suggestions you've listed doesn't only have advantages but disadvantages.

its not going to happen either way.
