even if they dont see a market for PC, I wonder how much they would really have to spend against the amount made from selling on PC...i'm no business man but surely the money made would be worth it, albeit not as much as the consoles

Not when over 60% of people illegally download the game.

It has been proven by many gaming companies, yes piracy is a problem on consoles but nowhere near to the scale of that it is on PC.

Good point, didn't think of that. F*** piracy! sad.gif

Packie is NOT in gtav

It still begs the question, 'Why would he be leaving Liberty City for Los Santos if Rockstar weren't planning to include him?'

The whole point is that Packie has become Niko in a way. He's seen family die, and had all sorts of misfortune befall him. He's leaving home like Niko left Europe, in the hope that wherever he ended up, things would be different.

Are you trying to spoil GTA VI?

The worst part about piracy is people who do it are probably the people who complain when a sequel isn't made because the publishing company has gone bankrupt.

Dan Houser on Jacked: The Outlaw Story of Grand Theft Auto:

My understanding of it was that it had a rather odd angle on things, but I don't really know how because I didn't read it. Hopefully someone at some point will write a book that's more accurate. We'll see.

---

Wow I'm really glad to hear that Dan wants a good book to be written on GTA. I was worried that Jacked booked would waste our one opportunity at getting a story about them.

Actually, it is fun. Some of the best / most epic missions in GTA SA was while CJ was being driven around by other people.

Think about how complicated it would be. All the differences between muscle level and fat level; making the euphoria and animations account for that.

They could just get rid of getting fat

But that's not the point. Read the reason he gave. It's dumb sh*t

I really really like this part

QUOTE
Doing other cities just didn't seem appealing. Doing small towns is very appealing. There's a bunch of small towns and villages and whatnot in there to discover and play around in. Doing other cities, though, felt like it was going to create problems we didn't need. It wasn't going to add to the experience. Of course you could do a game with a bunch of cities now that could be pretty interesting, but we didn't think that was going to be this game. This map is going to be spectacular to people when they start exploring and playing around with it.

A bunch of small towns and villages. And what he says about exploring and playing around...i'm a BIG explorer.

I'm gonna have to agree. How is it different from the game having to remember all of the different clothes on the 3 protags?

Though I don't care about the feature much, it's pretty damned stupid to dedicate a cut-scene in trailer one to the people lifting weights on the beach only to exclude the feature. It's alright though....we got yoga sarcasm.gif .

he went to Ireland, or Vice city (he said something about hot chicks and beaches). But my bet is Ireland, his roots.

Hot chicks and beaches -> Ireland?

Uhm, rite..

Exactly. The interactivity is what most people want.

I do agree with this. I remember the gyms in San Andreas, and even though they actually had a purpose back then, it was still the experience that my character could actually go to the gym in the first place more than the fact I could alter stats. I think it would be a huge waste of design if we couldn't interact at all in the Muscle Beach. Just from a roleplay perspective it would be cool, or even having an activity like seeing how much you can lift or how long you can run, competing against randomized opponents for money - without having the effect on your stamina and muscle. Maybe a boxing activity? I just hope we can do something, because it looks really cool.

I agree with that. More interactivity is very important. Well..flipping people off is what i'd consider interactivity, so that's a good start, lol. And i already know i will be doing that ALOT, haha. But it would be a shame if things like the ferris wheel are just there for show and display and nothing else. Let's hope they haven't mentioned all the side activities yet cause i gotta be honest...i'm not really thrilled by the sound of Yoga. But there definitely should be some fight club or something, especially now that they really improved the fighitng.

Take that blimp for example. Let us take blimp rides, that would be awesome. I really liked the idea of heli-tours in IV...more of stuff like that please.

I had always thought that the gym would be interactive, but it wouldn't actually do anything to your character appearance-wise. From GI:

QUOTE
The waterfront is filled with activities, including a muscle beach gym.

Could mean that it's just there for ambiance, though.
