It still begs the question, 'Why would he be leaving Liberty City for Los Santos if Rockstar weren't planning to include him?'

QUOTE (Dan Houser)
We're doing the biggest world we ever made. Putting the most things to do in it. A real focus on bank robberies and heists with a lot of planning to them.

Really curious to learn more about all the stuff we'll be able to do in the game, I mean SA is no joke with all the sh*t available in it, for this to have even more than that is pretty wild, we really do know very little about the game so far. While it's nothing new I really do love that they're putting a lot of planning into the heists we'll be doing, the build ups are gonna make it that much more epic

The whole point is that Packie has become Niko in a way. He's seen family die, and had all sorts of misfortune befall him. He's leaving home like Niko left Europe, in the hope that wherever he ended up, things would be different.

seriously this interview was worse than I expected, not only did he say the exact same sh*t as with GI but in even less words.

Oh well

Wow. They asked the worst questions out of everyone. Why the hell ask why there's new characters or why it's not gonna be on Kinect?

Packie's not in it.

Well, I guess that confirms it. Packie will not be in V.

. For us, this kind of world, that was a big properly-realized L.A. and a huge slab of regionally appropriate countryside, felt like the most interesting match to do something new with. Doing other cities just didn't seem appealing. Doing small towns is very appealing. There's a bunch of small towns and villages and whatnot in there to discover and play around in.

That's great, less worried about outside of LS being just empty space now

he went to Ireland, or Vice city (he said something about hot chicks and beaches). But my bet is Ireland, his roots.

"A valid criticism of GTA IV is that there wasn't enough to do with money at the end of the game. We are definitely going to have a very vibrant and fun economy, from earlier in the game to after you've completed everything."

- GI interview.

"One of the criticisms that I thought was valid in GTA IV was we didn't give you enough stuff to spend money on, given all the ways you could raise it. We want a lot of toys you can engage with at all points in the story. Using it in all different ways. Having a more vibrant economy and a sense that the reason these people are doing this stuff, at least on some level, is financially driven."

- IGN interview.

"I don't think we were necessarily addressing any criticisms from IV. We just wanted to make a different game from IV. IV was great."

- IGN interview.

Hmm.

There was some connection to San Andreas/Los Santos... a ticket, but I think that belonged to Niko which in itself was just a hint to the new location. I don't a f*ck anymore, I'm done with all this speculation sh*t...

Well that was a long read ,few points to talk about
1.no real excitement for making the game for PC as they feal it must be a good market ?
theres a great market.
2.Talked about how great / how big the map is but still the same stuff we all know.
3.Confirmed only a few ester eggs ,that may have a couple existing characters from previous games ...

,No market for PC BS... i tell ya this tho no PC version not getting a PS3 for just 1 game stuff that.
You console people have fun with it & i know you will.

Takes a computer to make a game for consoles,no reason to exclude us ...But any way they just lose out on our money for PC users .Rant over ,there my points said !

lets hope biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

After an entire week of disappointments from IGN, this interview (full of sh*t we already know), is not that disappointing. I guess I'm used to IGN now..

Has anyone ever considered that they were planning on putting Packie in the game but decided not to? these stuff happen sometimes...
Or maybe they showed us that scene to screw with us.

He acknowledged a criticism he felt was actually valid.
