Does Michael have like a house that you can walk into and find your children lounging around and can you interact with them?

Nothing new, except the fact that we can't play the whole story as 1 character only.

I was hoping i'd do 4 play-throughs, 1 with switching, and 1 with each of the 3...Guess not. confused.gif

"Los Santos proper is smaller than Liberty City"

There you have it. Now everyone can stop speculating that it'll be 50x bigger or whatever. I always knew and hoped it would be comparable to Liberty City. It was big enough, and to add in countryside and desert, the city is only a fraction of the playing ground...

After this article I don't care how big LS may be. Who cares when we can EXPLORE THE OCEAN?!

The article says that each character has his own location, like Trevor is from Blaine County. Does that mean that each character is limited to playing in just that area?

Yay! They awnsered my question!

"When you mentioned Trevor lighting a truck on fire with a gas can, is that something for a mission or is there more interaction with objects in the world?

I知 sure a mission or two may require you to light something on fire, but Trevor is the kind of psychopath who revels in destruction during his free time as well. You値l be able to get your pyromaniac fix whenever you want."

You've got to believe that the turd that asked such a question is entirely ignorant of what a Grand Theft Auto game entails.

I thought this meant that the denser areas are smaller than Liberty City but the outskirts stretched beyond it?

Anyway, glad to hear that pouring out gasoline and lighting it up will be in regular game play and not just missions. And it's interesting that R* is still hiding all of that stuff, and even more. There's obviously something else big we haven't seen yet.

It was a good read. But info wise, the best thing was the confirmation that lighting gasoline will be a whenever activity. I was wondering about that and am really glad we'll be able to screw around with it. Oh, I can't wait!

Summary

*A lot of this has been covered in previews, but thought I'd do a quick summary in case no one wants to read the entire Q&A

You can't play the entire game as one character; sometimes you have to a solo mission as each character to advance the story.
No co-op in the story.
Some missions with all three characters you have to switch between them and then are given the opportunity to choose afterwards.
Can't kill another character when playing as one of the three.
Michael can walk around his house and interact with his family.
Can buy new clothes.
In free roam you choose to play whichever character you want.
Each character is from a different part of Los Santos, but you can go anywhere you want.
Natural Motion Euphoria used just like in IV, RDR and MP3.
Entire map is open from the beginning.
LV and SF definitely not in game.
Downtown area of LS is smaller than Liberty City
During demo, game and switching characters ran perfectly without lag.
Swimming underwater confirmed, plenty of areas to explore.
Plenty of boats and hoes.
Internet on smartphone.
Lots of TV shows.
Trevor able to set things on fire when he wants, not just in missions.
Each character has his own inventory and money. Subject to change before release, though.
No CJ.
No characters from III, VC or SA.
Couple of familiar faces from IV will visit.
Variety of races included; cars, bikes, triathlons.
Still working on Wanted system.
Rockstar didn't answer when asked if Xbox will have multiple discs.

Dude.... just give it up.... Los Santos will be smaller than Liberty City. I don't know how they have to say it before the message gets across. They are speaking for the entire "Los Santos" city/urban area. I would have estimated from the screens that it's possibly smaller, but not by much, pretty close to Liberty City's size - but denser and in more of a squared area and not separated by water.

Obviously though, there seems to be small towns in the desert and countryside anyway. So what's wrong with that?

Nope.
Pay attention to those words please..
QUOTE
Los Santos definitely covers more square footage, just as the sprawling Los Angeles metro area does compared to New York City. But just like the real cities, if you池e wondering about the density of the downtown area, Los Santos proper is smaller than Liberty City.

Los Santon won't be smaller, ban me for a month if it is.

@LotusRIP: Wanna bet? loser stops posting on this forum for a month or two.

What's wrong with you people? Yes, there are new details we didn't know:

-Interaction with your family (Michael)
-Franklin has a dog (dog interaction confirmed)
-Los Santos "definitely" bigger than LC (not Downtown only, but the whole metropolitan urban area)
-You can light fires and make gas trails when free-roaming with Trevor
-As of now, each character has his own money and weapons, this may or may not change in the final game
-All kinds of races (from what I understand, races with all kinds of vehicles)

Not enough? confused.gif
