Dan confirmed here that GTA 4 was set in 2008. People on here have always argued it was either 2007 or 2008. Also I think aquatic missions will be good as Dan hinted.

I don't think they'll leave blood out. I think that guy isn't dead yet. Trevor is asking Mike, if he can shoot him or not. Mike will say no and BAM! That's Trevor!

Hell no they will leave blood out, that's pretty much a given, looking back at their previous games. Look how the blood in RDR was, i loved it. I just found it a bit odd. Maybe they thought it was good for the screenshot and maybe they are indeed still in editing. Also...in the mission they showed to magazines/sites there was a part where someone's hand or finger was smashed into pieces by some object in that part where Michael is about to smash through the window. No way in hell such scenes will go without blood.

Probably the most interesting piece of information in the past few days... None of that repeating crap "Trevor is a maniac and torches a car" and "Michael is retired and has a family".

Love some of the facts Dan mentioned, like the huge desert, underwater world, diverse missions.

Los Santos is NOT AN ISLAND.

Awesome interview. Better then the Game Informer. And Michael and Franklin will be friends, and Trevor will not take orders from anyone cool.gif

It's Southern California. Which is not an island either.

Thanks, OP! I am grateful that people translate things for us.

Especially this article. Perhaps one of the most interesting interviews about V to date. Awesome.

I cannot wait to play as Trevor. He is the epitome of the anti-hero type character.

Bollocks. Utter bollocks. American culture is not just in America! You could have a American protag for a start coming to the UK.

A mini Europe open world game is just waiting to happen - someone will do it next gen no doubt about that. I wish Rockstar would though!

I believe this is news that Craig Conner is composing the original soundtrack of GTA V (theme music and score).

QUOTE (Dan Houser (translated))
We have a guy in Scotland, Craig Connor [sic], who works for us since the first GTA and we have discussed the idea of creating a soundtrack and got to work immediately and the result is amazing. He managed to transcend each mission by adding his music, his touch, which makes the game more dynamic and moving when needed!

When he says American culture, he means AMERICA. Just because you have an American protag doesn't mean you have an American theme.

This finally confirms what I knew all along. GTA would not work outside of the US.
