Great info. I like how Rockstar just tells us "MP will be addictive". Yeah, right. They said the same sh*t about the last game, and that MP was total trash. I'll wait and see for myself. What a marketing ploy. Sadly, I'm sure most people will believe them and be disappointed at the end of the day.

Well you were playing it wrong than, freeroam is awesome.

It was better in RDR, and should be even better now.

For Everyone Scared About "Forced" Character Select.

I think we're all taking it the wrong way, I think all they're trying to say is that certain missions can only be played as certain characters, or from certain points of view. I'm assuming that say, a mission involving all three will rarely force you to be one. But a mission to do with say, Michaels family, you won't be able to play as Trevor or Franklin.

The other possibility is that maybe a mission starting with all 3 may only contain one character for a portion. Say, Trevor has to pilot for part of the mission but then is of no use from there, forcing his choice out at a point and forcing you back to another character to use.

I think I've got that clear enough? Basically, certain circumstances in missions will more than likely be the reason for forced characters, not so much as them going; "Oh, you're enjoying this mission as Trevor? HERE HAVE A MICHAEL BECAUSE WE WANT MORE SASS."

Make sense? Don't worry guys Rockstar know what they're doing. rahkstar2.gif

Also, anyone else wonder if the Baja bug in the screenshot will be the new BF Injection, Bandito or Big Bug (GTA2)?

People!!! Many thanks for the summary of new mentioned features. Expensive big toys...now i like the sound of that!!!!!!! So many new scrreens though and still no animals at all...getting a bit worried about it.

In the French review they said Los Santos is 4-5 times the size of Liberty City

Or the size of SA, GTA IV and RDR combined

4-5 x Liberty City (just over 6 sq m) = 24-30 sq m

SA (just over 14 sq m) + GTA IV (just over 6 sq m) + RDR ? = 24-30 sq m

You all know algebra right?

RDR = 6-10 sq m

If you read my thread I do couple days ago you will see the map sizes for each game (signature)

RDR ~ 12 sq m (including the parts of the map that are inaccesible)


Judging by what all the previews are saying we can expect GTA V to be around 30 sq m panic.gif

if I'm not mistaken, there was a bug like that in San Andreas called the Hotknife.

Los Santos (the city) is 4-5 times larger than Liberty City.. and the whole game (LS plus the rest - countryside, small towns and more) is 5 times larger than RDR. According to these previews at least.

Ha, and most of us thought that LS will be even smaller than LC.. we couldn't be more wrong, I guess.
