The Infernus is based on the Murcielago, they might come up with a different Lamborghini-like car but with a different name.

Perhaps. The name Infernus isn't exclusive to the Mercielago though. It was the Acura-based car in GTAIII, Lamorghini Contach-based car in GTAVC, the Acura-based car again in GTASA, and then the Mercielago based-car IV.

The order of Lamborghini's "flagship" models if you will would be...

Miura in the early 1970s (and late 1960s)
Contach in the 1980s
Diablo in the 1990s
Mercielago in the 2000s
Aventador in the 2010s

The Gallardo, Reventon, and others were side projects.

What I meant was that you still see Murcielagos out there in real life even though they stopped making them. There might be more than one Lamborghini based car in V.

I sure hope so. That would be a nice touch.

@last page
All of the other Lamborghinis y'all were referring to are one off designs and concepts. Lamborghini builds these models on a regular basis. It's usually to test experimental technology. Notice how most of these limited editions and one-off designs are based from the flagship model's chassis. In fact, the Veneno was designed to celebrate Lamborghini's 50th anniversary. Their production operations however, are centered around the Aventador.

Off topic, but does anybody think vehicles will overheat if you rev too much while not even moving?

About Lamborghini's, we need some Lamborghini Tractors DAMN IT. Just kidding, or am I? Though I would like an LM002 based truck to make it in, as well as an Avendador based model to come in, maybe a new Infernus or something else, though seeing the old Infernus so much makes me believe that it will continue unless they start includeding Generations of cars in which may happen given the new and old Buffalo. (Though those could just be diffrent points of development)

I also wouldn't call the Gallardo a side project, seeing as unlike most one offs, and special editions like the Avendador J or Reventon, it was it's own full on production model, it's just there secondary care, not their flagship.

Anyhow the ones I'd like to see them include are older models, things like the Muira, Diablo, Countach...personally like those better than the newer stuff...though I do like the Gallardo and the Avendador as well though. Maybe some of the lesser known stuff they have like the LM002, the Espada...etc.

Same goes for other high end brands, for Ferrari, the Daytona, the Dino, 512BB and other older modles would be nice, the Testarosa is in so I'm happy with that, and there's a DB5 as well so I'm also happy with that. You get the point

@Kifflom112 I don't think we'll be able to overheat the motor, but who knows but I just don't see it happening.

I doubt they'll delve into that type of detail. I'm even surprised that you can over tune your engine now. Maybe only if you tune your engine to the max and then rev it like crazy you'll blow it. Otherwise, I wouldn't count on it.

Dont think they will include that much detail in the game. But if you ovetune you car too much it will no longer function. So maybe that's the compensation they give.

Apparently you can 'over-tune' your engine so it will blow when you take the car out. Said so in the CVG preview I think.

I think when they said over tune that they meant that the car would have so much power it'll be neigh uncontrollable unless you're a good driver.

Though it could very well mean we may have to look out and make sure we don't blow the engine, I doubt it though.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Hydra's data file appears to be stating that the F-35 is not a VTOL.

It says the Hydra has VTOL capabilities, unlike the real-life F-35B. Or is it stating that the Hydra uses 4 Jet nozzles like the AV-8, instead of the 2 the F-35B has?

I've been looking through random stuff and I think I've found the name of the Unnamed Hatchback and it might possibly be called the Robin, as there was a beta vehicle in TBOGT called the Robin, and the name Robin sounds small (to me anyway bored.gif ) Cheers ~PT

I was referring to the troubles the F-35B had (or maybe still has?) with the VTOL system:

QUOTE
In November 2011, a Pentagon study team identified the following 13 areas of concern that remained to be addressed in the F-35:

The aircraft is in danger of going overweight or, for the F-35B, not properly balanced for VTOL operations.

Source: Click

I'm no expert, so it might not be much of a problem, but I just found it rather silly that a VTOL aircraft had so many problems with this exact mechanic. smile.gif

I certainly would hope so. Love me some Countach. I mean, this just can't be beaten:

EDIT: I did a bit of spring cleaning :

  • Renamed the 'LSPD Buffalo' to 'Police Cruiser (Buffalo)' and moved it to 'Returning Cars'.
  • Removed the 'Police Maverick' (Not been seen since Trailer 1).
  • Removed the 'Airliner' (Judged not to be driveable).
  • Removed the 'Small airliner' (Judged not to be driveable).

That 747, and subsequently the smaller airliner, from Michael's trailer kind of annoyed me, and I found that I agreed with Kotaku:

The car resembling the old James Bond car (Aston Martin DB5) might be a restyled version of the Windsor from GTA: San Andreas.

Hmm. It would seem a bit out of place, as the Windsor is mostly based on a Jaguar E-Type/TVR S2, and would probably have been depicted as an Ocelot in IV/V, which is GTA's equivalent of Jaguar. The DB5/6-styled car is very suitably a Dewbauchee. smile.gif

I updated the main post with an extended tally of the amounts of vehicles in past GTAs. I remember someone requesting this a while back. Clicking the condensed version in the main post, will get you this:

Nope, it hasn't. With all the new police vehicles being revealed, I think that the old cruiser would look quite out of place, so I think it's been replaced. Same with the Maverick. smile.gif
