And btw, some time in the trailer I could've sworn I saw an M107, which would be sweet. I'll look it up right now
EDIT: at 1:42 the sniper that Franklin is using. It's not an M107 but an M95: http://images2.wikia.../BarrettM95.jpg
OR, extremely unlikely, but I'm saying it anyway, it's an M82A2: http://www.securitya.../1273259271.jpg
Eitherway, hell yes we have ourselves a .50 cal over here cool.gif

I had already pointed out it's an M107, you can see the bolt is in the front and what appears to be a (very undetailed) magazine right below it.

Where did you get that?

Also, I have no clue what pistol that is, but seems to be the same pistol Franklin uses in his shootout (minus extended magazine).

Hmm, the sniper Franklin uses doesn't seem to be an M107 judging from that muzzle. The muzzle looks more like the smaller one on the M82A1 rather than the big one on the M107. The M107's muzzle is way wider than the M82A1's. I think it's an M82A1.

I think it might be an OTs-33 Pernach with a rail system on the green part. It's a russian handgun from '95 with single and full automatic firemodes, so I thought it might be it. It's not a perfect match though.

And the unknown sniper in the weapon wheel is definately an L115A3.

I do believe you're right, the charging handle is also more simple in the M82A1 which matches to the in-game model, while the M107 has a more "twisted" one.

Hmmm... seems like a fictional, fully automatic pistol. Actually I'm pretty sure that its a fictional weapon

However, the trigger guard and the bottom of the pistol grip/the magazin somehow resemble that of an M1911...

Very excited to see that we can carry multiple weapons of the same type like in RDR!

And to the OP, the Unknown Pistol is called the AP Pistol, you can see it in the weapon wheel! But I you want to find the real name of the fire arm I think it is an OTs-33 Pernach with a rail system like tenpennyisplainevil said

weapon dead centre of the screencap in the gangsters hands most resembles an MP5A3/A5 with the sliding stock. one issue I have is with the look of the magazine, it looks almost like a 5.56 magazine in dimensions, possibly a trick of the camera; however if it does end up being a 5.56, it would be a HK53A3...only time will tell, but my guess would go with an MP5 given how we've seen it in artwork; lends more credence.

What do you think?: "The array of weapons starting from the top and proeceeding clockwise is: Pistols / (Revolvers), Machine guns / assault rifles , Machine pistols / Submachine guns / carbines, Sniper rifles, Melee, Shotguns, Heavy artillery, Thrown weapons."

Do you guys know what I am worried about? Every weapon has it's own fire power, accuracy, fire rate and range ... but what about the weight? Shouldn't every weapon have it's own unique weight, determining how fast you can walk with it, instead of having weight classes for the different weapon types?! In real life weight is a strong argument for and against a certain weapon. Damn, they should really include this in my opinion, because when all guns of the same type have the same weight, people will probably tend to choose the heavier weapons, since they have more firepower, range and accuracy than the lighter ones. turn.gif

Those are just assumptions, I don't see the point of putting them there, it might turn out the machine pistols go in the pistol slot instead, or assault rifles go in the same slot as the carbine rifle (like it was in IV and CW).

And the back of that dropped SMG looks rounder and longer than the back of an MP5, it kinda looks familiar but I can't really recall an SMG that looks like that, I'm not sure, maybe it's just the blurriness of the video and it's indeed an MP5.

Also, not to sound like a pathetic whiny bitch but, about the contributions list, I had pointed out the AWM before tenpenny, just that I had called it an AWSM, while he used the British designation of the same rifle, L115A3. moto_whistle.gif

Machine pistols in the same slot like pistols?! I highly doubt that. Since we have already categorized weapons from the beginning of the thread, I will just add a "could be".

As for the sniper rifle, I will change it. Sorry for overseeing that.

Yeah, a "could be" works.

Also, this might be nitpicking but I will mention it anyway since it rustles my OCD, I noticed you called magazines "clips" in the HK416 and AP Pistol sections, and that just ain't right:

CZ assault rifles have kind of a blocky shape, so for now I'm suggesting the CZ805.

Well, English is not my mother tongue. So i didn't know that there is a difference between clip and magazine.

In German clip is called "Ladestreifen" literally translating into "loading stripe".

I will change it anyway.

I thought this is the Tavor CTAR 21 from the screenshots and trailer?!

But it looks different somehow.

I see a bit of the HK G11 in there with the blocky shape and raised up scope mount, the scope itself replaced by Picatinny rails, I do hope I'm wrong on this one though, never been a fan of the G11 in videogames; I'd feel a bit uneasy playing as South Central gangster toting a German made experimental rifle, I know its not a military sim, it would just feel a bit odd to me.

are the weapons shared, or not?

like for example, say michael has a shotgun, ak-47, sniper rifle, shotgun and i switch to trevor or franklin will he have the same guns

or will they have different guns, for example michael has a shotgun, ak-47 and when i switch to trevor he only has a pistol, i havn't been playing alot of trevor, so he doesn't have alot of guns like michael, who i been playing alot as

this has been one of those questions about V thats been on my mind

i can see how alot of people might not like weapon sharing, but managing 3 individual arsenals might get tedious
