Street names, while nice, were a useless feature in the game.

I hope they return though, they added nice little touches to the game, like when you'd tell the cab driver the street you were going to.

For me, I would like a clean looking HUD, just like IV. the map should be with the theme of the logo so I guess green.

IV's HUD was perfect. Allows for much more immersion into the city, and makes it feel less arcadey. I say just change the colors of it to fit with V's style and leave it be.

R* is going for less and less with the HUD. It will be very minimal in GTA V. Just look at GTA IV compared to SA and RDR compared to GTA IV.

Instead of fine, I think bribe could be a good one. Like the Godfather game

I was actually thinking the bounty could work like, paying your way out of the wanted level. Corrupted cops. Can remove the wanted. And alter it a bit.

I like this idea, if you changed the word "bounty" to "bribe" though...

This. IV's HUD was simplistic enough to not be in the way, but still let you know it was there.

Good topic, But i don't think having a bounty makes a lot of sense in a modern era.

I see bounty working from a gang point of view - in GTA:SA gangs would attack you if you'd killed there members before. SR goes over the top with that idea, but something more general might be good. Not for the police though!

OP, nice work wink.gif

I'm half expecting use of Rage Italic in some aspects of in-game, on-screen display (same font used for mission titles, vehicles and locations in Vice City).

drop the menu. GTA has never had a menu.

also im sure whatever R* comes up with will be so much better than this. This just looks embarrassing.

Well, in the bottom left corner where the map should be will be the head of a bald man. Your health bar is a rainbow in the top right corner. Your ammo is displayed as two old men fighter over a meatball sub.

That does not mean that they will not have it now.

You're embarrassing... This is done for fun, and for excitement. If you don't like the concept of trying to map it out to get close to the real deal. Then fine, just don't be a d*ck about it

GTA for the consoles has never had a menu (dunno why though, since that's always made things horribly clunky). The PC versions always have had one though.

I can see them going for a RDR style menu this time. I'll be extremely surprised if we don't see the weapon wheel from the game either, since it was vastly superior to GTA's method of changing weapons (and a weapon wheel is used in MP3 too).

Some more confirmed information about the mini-map:
