What does Frame Limiter do?

Sorry for the "newbie" question lol. But i'm just wondering... What does frame limiter do? What happens if its on and off? My guess is that it locks your fps to 30 when its on? Correct me if im wrong.

Yep, that's what it does. I tried turning it off and although the game runs much smoother without it, I got stuck at the stunt camera when doing a stunt jump and then the savegames won't load again. So now I have zero working copies of Vice City. tounge.gif

My word of advice would be to keep it on.

[edit:] Woo, it didn't actually break my game, but I'm still keeping it on from now on.

You might turn the limiter off, and then force vertical synchronisation (vsync) via graphics card's drivers. By doing that the game will be capped at 60FPS (or whatever your refresh rate is), which looks much smoother than 30FPS.
