i thought sutter forgot about the mysterious homeless woman, was cool that she made it into the season, i'm guessing her talking to the plush horse was something to do with compassion for tig.

That's what I thought as well. I wonder if Jax planned to save Tig all along though, or seeing the homeless girl changed his mind? Most likely not, but it's something to think about. I'm so glad he's still alive, nonetheless. icon14.gif

That homeless women talking to the horse didn't mean sh*t, Jax planned all along to do what he did, and Tig saving that dog from being killed is really good, it proves Tig cares for more than himself

^ While that may be true, it's important to note that she has signified important parts of the story throughout the series. I honestly think Jax was planning on getting rid of Tig before he seen the homeless girl. I think Tig saving that dog's life showed that he has a big heart and didn't deserve to be betrayed like that. Seeing that homeless girl made Jax change his mind.

We all know how corrupt Jax is becoming as a leader, so it wouldn't surprise me one bit that it was his original plan to give up Tig. This is a show about criminals after all.

I do agree with the idea that Jax didn't originally plan for this situation to end in favor of Tig. Despite his compliance with Jax and his decisions, he never forgot that Tig was always Clay's right-hand man, in addition to being a shoot-first-think-second sort of criminal. They've never been on close terms and he was ultimately a troublesome, unpredictable member to keep. But I think Jax gradually took notice of Tig's loyalty and compassion during the course of the season. I wouldn't say this change was necessarily due to the homeless woman's appearance, though. Rather, just a mirroring of Tig's compassion for the dog - whether he was this way all along, or if it's merely a change of character after the pain he's gone through.

@TheJonesy: Totally agree. icon14.gif

Tig's character development is one of the reasons I love this show so much. He started off as this crazy, right hand man to Clay, loyally following his orders. I believe when he accidentally killed Donna is when he started thinking twice about Clay. Lying to Opie about Donna for so long didn't help. I love the scene where he confesses... so powerful. After Tig tried to get revenge on Clay's shooting (which was actually Opie that shot him), he accidentally killed Pope's daughter. Clay lied, which resulted in Dawn's death. I believe that's when all Tig's loyalty to Clay died. Now, at the end of season 5, Tig has developed into a very strong character, who is very loyal to those who respect him. Jax knows this, and I really think he's going to bump Chibs to VP (since Bobby seems to have quit) and make Tig the Sgt. At Arms again, because he knows how loyal he is. It would be a good thing to have someone loyal like that as your right hand man.

I guess you could say Tig is just as loyal as a dog. smile.gif

* Well hello, just popping through to say this show is very cool man... I'm well underway in season 1 and it's addictive as f*ck. For example that bit where Gemma just smacks that girl with the skateboard was bad-ass... and that's just a small example lol. Can't wait to get to season 5. Bye now moto_whistle.gif *

I knew Tig would live. Jax already let Pope have Opie, he's not the type to let that happen again, or let Pope off the hook for it.

And it's not really a Sons of Anarchy season unless Otto gets severely f*cked up. I bet next season ends with him looking like the black knight from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Sutter must be a masochist.

It was an okay finale. Not the best in the show.

Yeah that bit really made my wince. It was completely unexpected, but I really didn't see why Otto wouldn't just talk. He's got absolutely nothing to lose.

Anyway I think Tig was always a pretty good character. He evolved from this mindless killing machine to a big ole softy. I knew his love of dogs would get the best of him.

I wish the episode would have ended with Tig petting his new dog, and looking up in the sky at a ghostly Kozik smiling down, and petting Missy.

And a ghostly severed tongue amongst them, looking down on Otto.

You should. The first few eps are a little cheap but that season is gold. You'll get drawn in really quick.

Sept 10th, brothers.

Well, I hope we see more of the MC together as a team this season. Always loved the scenes where they backed each other up and saved each other.

Like when Tig needed an escort home after he killed Pope's daughter.

f*ck it double post.

My head almost literally exploded watching that. So much I didn't understand. And I saw on the Sons facebook page that a lot of people are up in arms about the one part. Honestly I didn't get it either, or who that kid is, but if it has some bearing on the plot then I won't complain. Funny how people didn't care all the other sh*t that was in the show, but this. This is too far lol. We'll see how it plays out.

Well that was ummmm... yeah. Not sure why that scene was done, but I can't say I didn't see it coming either. He kept popping up everywhere throughout the episode.

Kinda hit a nerve though, but we'll see how relevant that is to the story this season, I expect it to be very relevant because if that was just thrown in there for the hell of it I'm going to be very unhappy.

Spoiler
Anyway I wasn't really bothered by it as much as I was just confused. I couldn't sincerely say it was wrong or distasteful when other things that happen more often and hit even closer to home for more people have been portrayed. So far I like it and that scene will definitely make me watch episode two and I'm sure that was the point. Its just a TV show anyway so I'm not going to let it get to me.Nobody says anything about
