What do you think about this idea? Not everyone have english as first language and a lot of funny comments are said in Radio Station. Would not be beter if they will also subtitle them?

Sure.

As long as you can enable/disable them per your own preference. It shouldn't be forced on everyone.

I've never thought about that, but I suppose it wouldn't be that hard to incorporate into the game. Nor should it take up significant disc space. Great idea! icon14.gif

I would never use that feature, but it would definitely be of use to people that are hard of hearing. So as long as it is optional, yes.

Doesn't matter. But there has to be an option to turn it off from the settings.

Sure. The only thing I've heard as of now in IV is "Wow- you're an asshole".
But, when hanging with friends or in missions, of course dialogue should get the preference. And maybe, radio subtitles could have a different color or font?

This. It's definitely a good idea but should be optional.
Although, having Italian as my main language (but i know English perfectly), i can say that many jokes or phrases wouldn't make much sense if it's not said in English, or they may be less funny.

Who the f*ck votes no? Also it goes without saying that it should be an option, it's something never implemented before you think they would just leave it as permanent?

It wouldn't be a hard feature to put it, besides, some of the sh*t on VladivostokFM I didn't really understand.

It should be really in the options, looking like:
Subtitles - On/Off
Radio Subtitles - On/Off

I'm thinking how will it work in missions...

Diff. color of radio subtitle and on top of the mission dialogue subtitles?

If you can't understand what you've heard, how are you going to understand what's written? jack the volume to the max.

I'm deaf so I have subtitles on constantly on TV, films & games. The subtitles in GTA IV weren't very good for me because they only helped in cutscenes but outside of cutscenes, I had no audio cues at all.

Anybody that votes no in this is selfish. Having it as an option won't negatively affect anybody but it'll provide a huge amount of assistance to those who need it.

Personally, I'd hate to see subtitles flashing all the time in the bottom of my screen. But I understand most of the things.
If you can turn it off and on, I wouldn't have a problem with it.

No, they're useless. I don't think anybody actually listens to what the DJs say, because it's too over-the-top and cheesy, like all the non-story content.

On the topic of subtitles, the person who is currently speaking should have their name next to the text.

not everyone is perfect to clearly understant what it's said. but if they hear it AND see it, it is much more understandable

I want Rockstar to save unnecessary disc space, that the game will be not bigger than 20GB, so, no, I don't really think this is necessary.

Yeah if English isn't your first language then it would be a great idea, as a lot of the humour in GTA is in the radio. As said, it would have to be an option that you can turn off, separate from character dialogue subtitles.

LOL. I searched that in Google images thinking it was the name of a porn star or something.
