I liked it in GTA SA. It was fun to play with a friend.
I would like it in V, just to explore the countryside or fight against the cops and army with a hydra.

So do you want this feature back in V and why?
This was just on the console version.

It wouldn't be useless if you simply wanted to play with a friend that would be your house.

It won't happen. Ever.

Consoles can't render the game in real time, twice, at the same time.

Unless it is like SAs but you'd have a low FPS count and there'd be an invisible barrier between the both of you.

It's not worth the disc space.

I did.
Co-Op can kill a story driven game like GTA. ph34r.gif suicidal.gif

EDIT.
My bad, just watched that video, not bad, never did that on GTA SA. Wish I had.

It wouldn't be story related, just free-roaming like in San Andreas.

It'll not happen.
I remember R* said that they only included it as a test in GTA SA, it wasn't a serious feature, hence why the feature wasn't that obvious.

The hell are you talking about?

San Andreas CO-OP didn't need to render the game twice. It put two characters on the screen, and moved the camera to a more classic GTA position. The world is rendered once.

And 'consoles can't render the game in real time twice'? Uncharted 3 can do it. Halo 4 can do it. If GTA V is in 3D it is very possible you can see a split-screen mode (as 3D requires two cameras in the same 3D world).

BTW, you aren't rendering the game twice. That wouldn't be beneficial. You are simply putting two camera's into the world, and the problem with that is two players could be looking in completely different places and require the game to render more than it would usually. This can be solved by lowering the resolution of gameplay for each player.

I'd love to get co-op in GTA V. That way I could play with my brother and friends. But this time there has to be a split screen and you have to be able to play the storyline... or maybe missions specially made for co-op.

Of course it would be fun to free roam with a friend. But playing missions with a friend or trying to beat each others time would also be fun.

I liked it but it was a little annoying having to stay close to your buddy. Split screen could work but would be very demanding as the game will have to render two open worlds at the same time.

I think because we have online free roam it's not a must to have a two player mode anymore in most developers eyes this is the same deal for games with co-op. Developers assume that buddy's of friends are in two different homes playing the game where as in fact most people have there friends over at the same house to play games.

I want this feature back as I miss two player games. inlove.gif

Please please please have split screen coop/freeroam, even if it is just 2 player. That would be magical - but also impossible.

I voted yes because i see why not. Just as long as it doesn't interfere with the story. Could you imagine them trying to tack on co-op onto the story? It would be horrible.
