Salerno Crime Family is NOW recruiting
The Salerno Crime Family was started by a man named Carlo Salerno. He was an immigrant of Sicily who originally formed La Cosa Nostra in Italy to protect farmers, but realized how much money he could make in America. He decided to move his family to the states in 1940 leaving only few ties to Sicily. Upon arrival into the states, he decided to expand the family recruiting immigrants coming from Italy but making sure only to pick the right people for the job. He became very successful and his empire grew to be larger than he had imagined.
In the 1960s the Salernos drew in more income than any other crew in New York and North Jersey. Don was living the high life in his compound in New Jersey not to far from his Newark. On June 13th, 1966, the Don was preparing himself for his daughter's wedding. As most already know, no Sicilian father can refuse any request on the day of his daughter's wedding. The day went on and many of the requests were mostly of justice or revenge, until one of the Don's most trusted friends walks into his office. He walks in with a 4 year old boy named Vito and asks the Don to adopt him as his parents were killed only a week earlier by another Family. The Don, at first, denied the request but realized the kid had no where else to go. He re-names the boy after himself with his new name being Vito Salerno.
On November 23rd, 1987 the Don passed away of natural causes. At the time, Vito was about 24, just before his stepfather died, he talked to Vito about the future of the Family, he taught him how to successfully take over the family, and what things to do and not to do. He was still to young and inexperienced to become boss, so for the time being, the new boss was Joe Russo, a trusted man to the Don. He appointed Vito to be his Underboss and taught him even more about La Cosa Nostra. This made Vito strong, soon enough he was calling the shots like he had been doing this for decades.
At the end of the 20th century, the family was becoming weaker and not to many weeks in to the Year 2000, did Joe Russo get whacked. It was a message to the Family basically meaning to show how weak we are. Vito thought it was time to take action. He tightened up the compound, tied up loose ends, and ended up taking out to families in the process. But none of this was done alone. He was helped by an old high school friend and longtime wise guy named Vinnie De Luca. He was the Don's Street Boss, basically keeping the Don in the loop and also being the Don's trigger man.
With changes happening in New York, the Don and his Right-Hand-Man both see big opportunities out in Los Angeles. For the next couple of months to a year, the Salerno's will be wrapping up business in New York and setting up in LA. The Don will still keep a squad in New York to hold down all the business' which are protected by the Family and all the distribution of firearms. The Family is expanding and growing out to new places never thought possible, why don't you become a part of it?
1. No one can present himself directly to another of our friends. There must be a third person to do it.
2. Never look at the wives of friends.
3. Never be seen with cops.
4. Don't go to pubs and clubs.
5. Always being available for Cosa Nostra is a duty - even if your wife's about to give birth.
6. Appointments must absolutely be respected.
7. Wives must be treated with respect.
8. When asked for any information, the answer must be the truth.
9. Money cannot be appropriated if it belongs to others or to other families.
10. People who can't be part of Cosa Nostra: anyone who has a close relative in the police, anyone with a two-timing relative in the family, anyone who behaves badly and doesn't hold to moral values.
